In the kneel down play, the KS player vaulted over the pile to hit Brett. Wish Mora would have pulled a Carroll and threw a bomb on the last play.

Myles should have pulled out a knife and stabbed him.

@HARK206: Jim Mora at handshake w Coach Snyder. "Are you F'n kidding me" and walked away. I was there. I heard and seen it. Not cool.

Bug,
Didn't see the end, if the KSU player did that it's classless.

But I watched about a quarter of the game and I saw 3 personal fouls on UCLA. Mora was classless to
blow Snyder off like that unless he heard Snyder order his player to do that. ASU did the same thing to us
and RR shook Graham's hand and didn't pull that crap.

Mora usually tries to get to the locker room as fast as he can an doesnt do the hangout on the field and talk to reporters, he wants to be with the team. To the shagrin of most of the UCLA fans, he doesn't really pour it on, which is an NFL thing I guess. I think had the play happened without a TO before it, it wouldn't have been a big deal. But there was a TO called then that play happened. The TO wasn't used right after UCLA recovered the onside kick, it was used later, which probably pissed Mora off.

UCLA Is just always going to be a heavily penalized team. Jack is too amped up and it cost UCLA a shutout this year already with senseless penalties.

Is he selling drugs, stalking you, calling your boss, calling your wife, and putting rumors out on the Internet that you molest children? Because that's Ace territory.

this was after Snyder was talking with that player during a TO.

Here is the updated SB Nation article with Mora going back and explaining to Snyder what had happened and why he was upset.
http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2015/1/3 ... -handshake

UCLA also knew it was coming as they put in their starting DT's and they are the ones who stopped the guy from getting Brett.

Greg Schiano tried blitzing on a kneel-down play in the NFL a couple years back and was ripped for it. Probably one of those unspoken rules.

Saw the play. I understand Mora being pissed - it's kind of an unwritten rule during victory formation to not do stuff like that. (Todd Graham didn't get the memo though.)

But not shaking hands and dropping an f-bomb on a 75 year old man after the game is to protect your players? Now that's funny.

Three personal fouls and an unsportsmanlike conduct on your team and then you do that makes you look like an ass.

Mora may have had a reason to be pissed. However, he handled his (let's assume legitimate) beef with Snyder like a douche.

And while I do not know the man and he has occasionally done things that were non-douchey (I think his reaction to the death of one of his players a couple of years ago seemed heartfelt), he has a pretty long history of saying and doing douchey things.

Ergo, I choose to believe Mora is a douche.

Pretty much what I was thinking. Is Mora's brief limp milquetoast handshake really going to change anything? It definitely didn't stop that last play so I'm not really sure who he's "protecting". And smugly lying to the press isn't a good look either.

The whole didn't shake hands thing is mostly a story following the FSU - oregon game. He shook his hands. Twice even..

And profanity! Sean Miller, your on notice! ;)

You know I am all over calling out Mora as a d-bag but I wonder why no one has said anything about KSU free safety launching himself in an attempt to spear Hundley. No way he would have hit Hundley before he took his knee. #47 on UCLA should get a game ball for doing his job in what most would think would be a go through the motion play.

I doubt Snyder coached that and Mora never gave him a chance to explain what happened as I saw. Mora acted like an idiot but I would sure like to hear what Snyder knows about his safety.

If the KSU safety had given himself a head or neck injury on that play, Snyder would definitely have been called out. That to me is the biggest reason why you don't have anyone crashing the LOS on a kneel down. Too much potential for injury for both the offense and defense.

Would you like to back this up with anything? Most of the posters on this board have scout memberships and support Scheer. What Mora did was classless and there's honestly no positive spin on it.

Agreed Chi. That looked like a dangerous play and if coached (which I highly doubt) it put tremendous risk to the player(s). If it wasn't coached or called then where is the discipline I am sure the coaches are instilling daily.

The Jets’ interest in Mora at this point, however, is more a case of the franchise doing its due diligence. In fact, we’ve heard that Mora isn’t among the top names on the Jets’ list of coaching candidates.

Hilariously, Mora reactivated his Twitter 3 weeks ago, had no activity, then he just tweeted a pic of a recruit he's trying to steal from LSU in a UCLA uniform (which is an NCAA violation), claimed he was hacked and deleted his account again.

UCLA defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich is expected to take a coaching position with the Atlanta Falcons per this report.

There has been no confirmation from UCLA on the report.

If this is true, and they waited until the recruits signed on signing day to do this......extremely chicken shit move if they weren't upfront with the athletes.

Apparently Ulbrich hasn't even been offered the job and the report was erroneous. But take that for what it's worth.

You're absolutely right about it being chicken shit, and it's just another reason of many why top kids should not sign letters of intent.

Seems like NCAA should grant any defensive recruits waivers letting them out of their LOI's if they want to.

Sounds like Notre Dame QB coach did the same thing. Waited for the kids to sign, and then will bolt to the NFL.

According to Fox Sports, Jeff Ulbrich has been hired by the Atlanta Falcons and will be the team's linebackers coach. A former NFL LB himself, Ulbrich coached with new Falcons head coach Dan Quinn in Seattle before he came to UCLA.
