Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

He had a reputation at SMU. Should have gone to the SEC where they would just let him do his thing.

Re: Klemm suspended due to recruiting violations
The NCAA penalized UCLA assistant football coach Adrian Klemm with a two-year show-cause order on Friday for arranging training services and housing for two recruits worth $2,400 that he paid for outside of NCAA rules.
The case was resolved through the NCAA’s summary disposition process and did not require a Committee on Infractions hearing.
Klemm, who coaches the offensive line and also has the title of associate head coach, is regarded as the top recruiter on UCLA’s staff. Last season, he made $760,000 and was the third-highest paid assistant coach in the Pac-12, according to the USA TODAY Sports salary database.
The NCAA characterized the violations as Level II, which is the second-most serious in the new four-tiered system, aggravated by “blatant disregard for the NCAA constitution and bylaws.”
