Sounds like he slacked on a spring course. Most people are admitted into grad school before they graduate

They had a gun and discharged it and were targeting people in downtown and they basically got nothing?

That sounds like a couple of kids that shouldn’t be anywhere near a football field unless they are playing for their prison team

It was an Airsoft gun and they were shooting at people. One victim got hit in the head, and obviously that could have caused some serious eye damage.

Reminded me of where I live, some kids were driving around shooting at people with red paintballs. As many of you know, paintballs hurt like hell, and if it's red, I imagine many people thought they were actually shot. Can't remember what happened to them, but they were booked into juvie.

Ah got it. Still very reckless behavior and terrible reporting in that article has they said “gun” without quantifying it.

I think it was Tomey who suspended Melvin Smith for getting stopped and having a gun in his car. Not sure what the appropriate action should be here but firing at live unsuspecting targets seems serious

In the mid 70s, Arizona had a senior offensive lineman named Brian Murray. He was a high draft pick of the Cleveland Browns, and he stayed in Tucson after the draft. While hiking in Sabino Canyon, at Seven Falls, he slipped on a wet rock, struck his head, and was killed before he could ever step on the Browns practice field for even one minute as a pro. Yeah, people should be more careful, but as you say, sometimes bad things just happen. Obviously tragic to happen to anyone that age, but having those kinds of opportunities snatched away also seems to compound it.

I helped recover a guy who slipped at Tanque Verde Falls in the mid-70's. I never heard of anyone dying at Seven Falls, but I can picture where it probably happened.

In response to the Ducks student section’s anti-Mormon chants throughout last Saturday’s home game Vs BYU, during which a visiting LDS recruit walked out of Autzen stadium, the Oregon admins are no doubt doing damage control considering they actively recruit LDS players across the West, Hawaii, and the Polynesian Islands.

Was the chant about 12 year old grandmothers?

Quarterback Recruit Left Oregon-BYU Game After Offensive Chant

Zach Koons
Sep 20, 2022

A vulgar chant marred an otherwise momentous victory for Oregon during Saturday’s game against BYU. Amid the Ducks’ 41–20 win over the Cougars at Autzen Stadium, yells of “f--- the Mormons” rained down onto the field from the school’s student section.

Now, the actions of the individuals responsible for the chants may have had a negative impact on recruiting a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

High school quarterback T.C. Manumaleuna II, a Salem native, told the Statesman Journal he and his family left the game at halftime because of the chants. Manumaleuna, who is Mormon, explained he didn’t fault the school for the students that were involved in the chants but did feel like the repeated incidents had “some kind of impact” on his experience.

“I would never cross the Ducks off my list. I play football today because I was raised going to Duck games, but I’d be lying if I said it didn’t have some kind of impact on me,” Manumaleuna said. “[Oregon defensive coordinator and linebackers coach] Tosh [Lupoi] reached out to my dad yesterday after the game, and I was able to talk with [Oregon director of recruiting and LDS member] JR Moala for a little bit, too. Those guys are like family, especially JR.
