California votes to allow athletes to use own image

Not sure where to put this thread, but they voted to allow college athletes to actually make money with their own images. The NCAA has said that if this passed that they would have to consider banning all California NCAA schools from participating in national championships and national tournaments. If they can prevent the NCAA doing that and if no other states implement similar laws, if expect that high end athletes of all sports would flood into California since they can actually make money while in school. Goes into effect in 2023 as of now.

Currently California universities appear to be self banning post season play already to get ahead of this.

NCAA is so corrupt. Good for these athletes. If you are a sure fire pro athlete, you better be going to a Cali school IMO
