First female to play in Power 5 game

With all the issues caused by Covid, this is actually pretty cool. Vanderbilt had a kicker opt out pre-season, and then had an outbreak amongst their specialists. The goalie from their SEC champ soccer team has been practicing this week, and will be active for them tomorrow against Missouri.

While it's entirely possible she does not get in the game, this is different than April Goss and Katie Hnida in that it appears she will be the only kicker available, so I'm hopeful she does play. Hnida did suit up for Colorado, but never entered a game before transferring to New Mexico.

Game is on SEC Network at noon eastern, I'll be watching.

Too bad she plays for Vandy and they couldn’t get remotely close enough for her to attempt a FG.

Took me 10 seconds to Google and find out Vandy hasn't had a men's team since 2006.

Mizzou should have let Vandy score a TD their last possession just so she could kick a PAT.

I was watching her practice and she was kicking the ball really low. I think it might have gotten blocked.

Whitlock mostly finds the dumbest most ignorant things to say to create online engagement. Not too different than most, other than much worse takes.

I read through a Vandy football board and they were embarrassingly stupid too. So I don't feel bad at all for them getting embarrassed in the spotlight, although would have liked for her to get a chance. Who knows, maybe they male kickers aren't back by next week and she gets another game? That would be fun
