Texas Tech received the kick off and had to call a timeout before their first snap of the game to avoid a delay of game penalty. Not sure if I have ever heard or seen that before.

The story is a bit weird though - it says the 84 yard punt is an NCAA record which broke his own record from last year, then that it is an ACC record, then that it is a Cincinatti record. The first implies the 2nd and 3rd. The second implies the 3rd (except that Cincinatti was probably playing football before the ACC existed so I'll give'em a pass on that one.) Sheesh
