Why couldn't the Cats play this MS State team?
That MSU team is with a backup QB who isn't Fifita.

OU losing opens things up for Oregon. Could the PAC have two playoff teams?

Flipping on the early kickoffs. Too small of a crowd to start Miami's home game Vs at 10th ranked Louisville. So many empty seats. And in Provo BYU is kicking off at 10AM mountain time Vs Oklahoma. Worth pointing this out because once Arizona is moved to the Big 12, I'd expect the networks would similarly not shy from scheduling a 10AM kickoff in Tucson.

The Cats are much better than Oklahoma State. And Texas would not score so easily on the Cats. They definitely would have a hard time going over the top with our secondary. Texas deserves to be in the CFP. But they will probably give it to Florida State if they stay undefeated. Arizona is better than Florida State.

Is it strange of me to want Michigan and FSU to win so 3 teams are for sure in as they are all undefeated.

Then have ‘Bama beat UGA and have Texas slip in effectively skunking the SEC altogether?

It will never happen. No way the powers that be allow the $EC to be left out.

I’ve heard many a discussion on this exact scenario on sports radio and podcasts, and what you’ve said is the consensus. There’s no way the SEC gets skunked. Which I hope (HOPE) inspires these milquetoast fuckers who make these decisions to have a spine. If Texas beat Bama in Tuscaloosa and Bama beat Georgia, Texas 100% belongs in over both of them.

If FSU wins, it should be Michigan, Washington, FSU, Texas in the playoff. Let’s see if the committee has the balls to skunk the SEC.

I’m hoping to see that scenario play out. I guess another way to look at is who has the “best” loss from all of the 1 loss teams?

Actually, wouldn’t that technically be tOSU who lost to a #3 Michigan team in Ann Arbor?

Man this will be a circus if it happens.

Unless FSU annihilates Louisville, they are going to use FSU's QB being hurt to put 'Bama in.

Yep that’s what they are saying.

I honestly don't think it matters what FSU does tonight...they will not make into the CFP at the expense of the SEC.

The SEC believes that being in the CFP is their birthright.

And the committee should use this opportunity to disabuse them of this notion.

Texas kicked the shit out of Bama in Tuscaloosa. Arguably the best win of any team all season. If Bama gets in ahead of them, their fans should riot.

Please, please let the committee leave out the SEC this year.

Would be a great statement going into the new format next year letting them know it’s no longer their birthright to win a Natty every year.

Screwing FSU is not only a possibility, but a high probability event.

I too would like to see the SEC get shut out (despite their crying the SEC conference wasn't all that good this year) but I doubt it will happen.

The experts/analysts heads will explode if FSU gets picked over Bama.

Well I saw one list that had Alabama's strength of schedule ranked at 3rd. FSU was 50th. I have no idea how valid this list was.

I too would've loved to see the SEC left out, but strength of schedule should matter.
