It would be difficult to kill a duck with a chainsaw I would think.

A 12 gauge shotgun is easier.

Don't you use a chainsaw to cut down a dam that a beaver builds?

Dynamite is more effective than a chainsaw or shotgun.

Did some of that in the 80s. Made some good coin. I wonder what various state law restrictions are like nowadays when doing this on private land. Anyway, time was you could just go buying ditchin' powder as simple as buying ammo. Pre 9/11 of course.

It would be the smart move for Smith. Get out before the ship sinks.

Once the Pac12 dissolves both OSU & WSU are going to be relegated to MWC status......with a $20M/yr cut in revenue. Both schools will have to resort to drastic steps (cutting programs/coaches salaries/Strength & conditioning/travel costs (no more chartered flights) etc., etc. etc.)
Both of the NW schools have put on a brave face but in 5 years neither school will likely be confused with a top 25 program in football. They are both headed to irrevelant-land.

Thank God its not us

Dude has to go.

When the transfer portal opens 12/4 his team is getting raided.

Coaching changes like this will just gut their roster. They are going to have a mass exodus of players I think. Hope they have a qualified assistant coach who can keep their roster intact and can take over for Smith

Can you imagine our roster transfers if Fisch were to leave. Just makes you want to cry

It will be even worse for them with no conference home.

Two come to mind:

#75 Talise Fuaga, Jr, 6’6β€³, 334 (OT)
#6 Damien Martinez, So, 6’0β€³, 232 (RB)

Sadly. 46 years and no titles. Watch we go and win the big 12 in our first season in it.

Kind of sucks this could be the last legit Civil War for a long while. It is one of the most played rivalries in college football and 2024 will mark the first time since 1945 where it will not be played. $ad where things have gone.

Yep same for the last Apple Cup and while not a massive rivalry it's the last time Cal and UCLA will play for who knows how long

Never won a WAC one either, from 1962-1978, so over 61 years.

Hopefully we can win one from anywhere before we go Merk. Kind of a sad thought.

It really is. Not too many people alive who remember the last sole football conference championship for Arizona in the Border Conference taking on the likes of Hardin-Simmons, West Texas Teachers' College, and the 2 Arizona teacher's colleges.

Hopefully Fisch stays around a year or two to get us there. Haven't had this much confidence in a coach to get us there since Larry Smith.
