While the Astros just set themselves up nicely to kick the ever-lovin’ shit out the Yankees in the playoffs the Yankees responded by doing ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOTHING.

But Gio Urshella and Gleyber Torres had to leave the game early due to injuries.

I’d say the Yanks are cursed but they are 8 games ahead of the Rays and 14.5 up on the Red Sox.

Next man up until they run out of men I guess...

I think the previous record was 57? 59? Insane...

My only worry is that teams that rely so much on homers generally don’t win the World Series. I’m going to start rooting for doubles and singles.

The impressive part was the defense. They made some world class plays. IMO it's going to be the Yankees or Astros who win the World Series.

They had so many chances. Cole was off but the new baseball doesn’t carry like the one they used in the regular season and the Yankees seemingly can only hit fly balls.

Yeah, Hicks is a fucking stud for coming back and playing with that elbow. And that homer he hit against Houston in game 5 was epic under the circumstances.

Tanaka also needs arm surgery. Said to be minor but not sure if he’ll miss time.

The training staff and methods need to be overhauled. The sheer volume of injuries was like nothing I’ve ever seen. That can’t happen again next year.
