Omens:

In 2016, the Western Bulldogs won the Australian Football League Grand Final for the second time in 139 years of competition. They won in 1954 and came second in 1961. The 'curse' go so bad that they changed their name from 'Footscray' to 'Western'. Most people still call them 'Footscray' though.

In 2016, the Cronulla Sharks won the Australian Rugby League Grand Final for the first time in club history (50 years), though they had been runner-up.

2016: the year of the curse breaking.

Well that sucked. Maddon got way too cute with his lineup.

Wrigley is going to be nuts on Friday!

With Kluber set to pitch game 4 and 7.... game 3 is huge for the Cubs

I wish Schwarber could play on the field. Now is the first time I want the NL to have the DH.

I think the Cubs are going to unload Friday night and score a bunch of runs. Going to be an epic night and a must watch event

Madden would not rule out Schwarber playing at Wrigley. What an amazing story.

Great game. I can hear Joe Morgan, "you got to manufacture runs in the postseason."

Tito is old school.

Everyone thought that. I've never seen a game at Wrigley where the wind was blowing that hard straight out to center that didn't end up with the teams scoring 12+ runs combined. Hats off to both pitching staffs, but especially Tomlin and Cleveland's bullpen. Almost no one made solid contact all night.

Cubs are in a tough spot now. Today is almost assuredly a must win.

About the replay at first where the Cleveland dude dove in just as the ball got there.

I thought the tie went to the runner. Am I wrong?

All you can do is tip your cap to the Indians. They knew they were coming into a buzz saw and handled their business very well.

Cubs need to do the same tonight. Co cubbies!

Tie does go to the runner but I think the view they had showed his hand actually bounced above the bag

Getting out of that jam at the end of the game might be the play of the series so far. That guy hits a single and in one swing the Cubs would win the game and series, no doubt.

You're right, but it wasn't a tie.

After last night, there's no pitch tracker. There's been a few I would have like to have seen on the corners already.

Kluber has twenty less pitches through 3 than Lackey through 2.

Chief Wahoo continues to out-hit and play better defense than the Cubs in their home park.

Indians just doing all the little things to perfection like moving runners with bunts, steals and sac flies.

Not a surprise given who there manager is

The Cubs are in deep kimchi. Looking like they will have to win three in a row with Kluber able to pitch again.

Lead off double and Zobrist can't get him to third and Contreras swimgs at 3 balls out of the zone

They were talking about the right outs to take advantage of the lead off doubles they've had. I've got to hand it to Kluber, he threw a gem tonight. I imagine it's Miller time now.

I've got to hand it to Tito. His team is loose and letting it rip. He is now 11-1 in World Series games. I'm a fan of Madden, but 108 years of losing has got the Cubs gripping. They are hitting like .225 this series.

Not that I give us much hope but the tribe pitchers will all be going on short rest and the Cubs have their 3 aces coming up on full rest.

We have to at least give the Cubs fans 1 World Series win at Wrigley

Does Tito go back to Miller for his 5th inning of work in 3 games? Either he does and risks him being hittable or he doesn't and has to go to a someone who can be gotten to. I think he screwed up having him throw two innings up 6 runs.
