He’d be my favorite player too if he wasn’t in the Yankees division.

i love lots of players, but Brett Phillips is in a class all by himself for me today...even ahead of the often fawned over Mike Trout by me and my family.

Phillips is everything thats right about everything

It did work for the Diamondbacks when Showalter walked Bonds, but they were ahead.

Here is a link to stream free MLB games, https://mlb66.ir/simulator
Don't know how long it will last, but as for today, you can watch free MLB.
Also, if your team is blacked out, to be able to watch the game, visit the site in incognito mode.

MLB: “We need to make the game more exciting to attract younger fans!”

Also MLB: “Let’s fuck with the ball so it’s stupidly difficult to hit it out of the park.”

And that works in May, not October/November unless Earl Weaver has been reincarnated.

But Yankees pitching & fielding so far indicates yesterday will not be a prerequisite to win ball games.

As much as I love watching the Red Sox suck, fuck the Astros.

PS - when are we going to see someone fall out of those stupid Green Monster seats and die right there in left field of a broken neck? I put the over/under at some time in the next four years.

Losing 12 straight to go from ten games over .500 to a losing record this far into the season will do that to you.

Not sure that Phil Nevin is the answer as interim manager though. He was flat out awful with the Yankees the past couple of years.

until last night Trout was six for his last forty-six during that losing streak. its the worst stretch from Trout ive seen since he broke in - but once again it was pitching that let Madden down and obvious just how much Trout does for the team to cover up the warts...when he does something totally weird like play like a human this is the result.

Tapera, Loup, Lorenzen have all been big misses - and Lorenzen is a starter for some reason only Angels brass will know. Rendon is a slap hitter and Ward cant stay on the field.

someone had to be the fall guy - congratulations, Joe for shitting meaningful late summer baseball in Anaheim down the poo-pipe.

I saw a snippet of the post game interview and LaRussa snapped at the reporter “you know what Trea Turner’s average is vs. left handers after 2 strikes vs Muncy against left handers??!!”

Someone looked up the stat and it was something like .251 vs. .253.

He should have never been hired in the first place. The team is way underachieving and he doesn’t seem to have a clue how to craft the lineup or what to do during the game to push the right buttons to get wins. The game has passed him by and he should have never been put in charge of such a young talented team.

One guess as to which team I have a lot of players from on my Fantasy team this year?

And no Yankees of course...

There’s been so little ultimate success (two World Series titles in like 200 hundred combined years of baseball) that when a team is supposed to be good but isn’t, it can get ugly.

La Russa probably doesn’t care because in his addled wet brain he might just believe he invented baseball.

What’s truly funny is that Jerry Reinsdorf has said on multiple occasions that allowing his GM to fire La Russa in ‘86 was the biggest mistake of his time owning sports franchises. So he’s now compounded that mistake by hiring him back when he’s pushing 80 years old and was out of the game for a decade. But now would he admit that blunder and fire him again? I doubt it, no matter how much they underachieve.

Baseball brawls always have a touch of humor and throwing sunflower seeds at basically no one ranks right up there.

BTW, maybe these teams should focus more on winning then fighting.

After the Red Sox were destroyed by the Blue Jays 25-3 last Friday, it's time to send their centerfielder, Jarren Duran, down to the minors. Not only does he fatally miscalculate the hit, but worse, he doesn't bother to correct his mistake and hustle back to try to show he at least cares. Result is an inside the park grand slam.
