So pumped up for this game. I'll be in Vegas to watch it!

snuck out from work and caught today's open practice, since i can't make it to tomorrow's game. overall, the guys looked pretty loose, as one would expect -- chatty, with the occasional ric flair "woo!" peppered into their drills. even CSM seemed pretty relaxed. he spent some time greeting/talking to visitors at the scorer's table and was joking around a bit, laughing out loud a few times -- something i had never seen before. book and pasternack also seemed to be having a good time. i don't seem to recall seeing damon -- did anyone?

watching the shootaround, i was most impressed by PJC. dude has a really sweet stroke, and i don't remember him missing a shot the entire time. gabe had some pretty hot hands, too. loved watching stan and kadeem on the floor. Miller also had the team spend a bit of time practicing their FT shooting, and some leftover badger fans from the wisconsin practice session got a chuckle from rondae's shimmy -- guess it was their first time seeing it.

the team spent about 30 mins drilling with 10-15 mins of garbage time for hot dogging (dusan throwing up hook shots from halfcourt; stan, gabe, and rondae dunking) and tying up loose ends. CSM wrapped things up a little early. on the way off the court, a fan told miller not to please let any of his staff go to asu. he laughed and gave a thumbs-up.

saw chris mack hanging out during the session, as well as reggie miller and of course byrne and jeffries. the local nbc sports guy was looking for SJ's mom and asking around if anyone knew what she looked like. haha. pasternack and CSM spent some time after the practice chatting with a kid decked out in adidas-everything -- a recruit, i presume, but i didn't know who he was.

went with some friends to grab some coffee before heading home, and ran into a small group of javier fans. pretty nice folks, they wished our team well and said they couldn't wait for tomorrow's game. yep.

anyone else here go to staples today?

My stomach hurts, which doesn't have anything to do with having been caused by the pending game, but I'm just saying I'd appreciate getting up huge early and winning by 30. Would definitely help with the stomach.

Worked a 12 hour day and am just now settling down to watch the games. I'm eating because I'm starving (no lunch) but really hard to eat. Lol. Nerves...

Where I been? Working, parenting the usual. Nothing personal with the board or people I've just been occupied. Plus most az games are on so late and I don't get the pac network (thanks Verizon !) so I lost touch a bit during the season. Definitely locked in now to watch a game starting at my bedtime! Ive been doing this since 94 as a freshman and this team is the best I'veseen and I'm the most confident that we'll get to the FF and win it all. It's like 2001 with no injuries a deeper bench and more size. Still anything can happen so let's get it done tonight and Saturday!
