They need to stop handing out turnovers like Halloween candy

Of all the shit in life that matters .... why is it that this resides so far up the list? I ask you motherfuckers! Whence the things that matter such?????

Well this could have hurt their confidence but quick lead in OT and hanging on was good. Glad we got a test but didn't need to be this good of test.

Great test. It could have been easy to fold after going through that but they keep fighting. It’s crazy how easy that the game could have been a blown out.

FT not a big deal to me. Shot 29-41. Of the 12we missed…9 were Tubelis and Koloko our 6’11” and 7’0” starters. We can live with that.

The turnovers are an issue. Sometimes they were playing too fast and making passes too late. Gotta learn when to pull it back out and run the offense.

Side note: I noticed Pelle getting hurried up in the half court and make some really terrible passes. Am I the only one? Or is that looking like a trend?

I Kinda expected something like this solely based on the level of the first 3 opponents.

When he threw that one inside when we were up like 1 looked like panic. Worries me some but we knew he was turnover prone when we got him. Made a great cut to the basket and reverse in the first half.

Nice when you have a game where there's plenty to work on, and you still win. Tommy's first big game, and he waited too long to call a TO. Can't let a scrappy team like Wichita State keep that momentum going. Call the TO. You can't take them with you.

Teams are going to press us. With Kerr in there, we looked ok against the press. But without Kerr, we played too fast and made too many mistakes that were turnovers.

We need Kier to be a scoring threat off the bench. Can't rely on the starters this much. Terry also needs to stay out of foul trouble.

While we outrebounded them, need to better rebound on D. Wichita State shot 80 shots! Too many second chances.

Still, nice to see our size and toughness on display. And nice to see we didn't fold under pressure, and got the win. This team has potential, for sure. Just need to clean things up a bit.

Not sure if any of you read the postgame quotes from the WSU coach but he was big time whining about the officiating. He said most of the fouls called against WSU were “boxing out” fouls.

I guess in Kansas mugging, grabbing and tackling is considered boxing out…

They hooked us all night on box outs trying to stop Koloko and Zu from slipping past them.

Next time don’t be so obvious Shockers.

I the late second half, the WSU assistant coaches were primarily communicating with the team, while the WSU head coach heavily jawed with the refs...

No mention of how the refs kept them in it in the first half?

Shocking
