No way they normally make this many 3s.

Yeah, but still. C'mon.

Before they hit those last two threes they were still shooting under 50% from the field. There were just a ton of possessions.

We are a very good offensive team.

We are a mediocre defensive team.........our defense will dictate how far we go in March

Tommy wanted a tougher team. Looks like he's got it.

Cincinnati shot 17 for 34 from deep. Scored 63 in the 2nd half. If I were a betting man, I'd take the under against Ohio State. Have to figure Cinci is going to regress to the mean, and struggle from the outside.

Just one of those games where your opponent can't miss. Still won by 8. I'll take it.

They hit more 3's than 2's. Hit 17/34 from 3. They were hot but we just kept fighting back. The over/under on that game missed by about 35 points. Unbelievable. We were a -10 and I bet betters hate the last 2 mins of the game where we were up 16 and ended up +8.

I hope Tommy is a little bit pissed. If we meet a team that bullies us and gets hot we have to have an answer on both ends of the court.

In my mind we won by 14 and it wasn’t really that close. Couple of garbage time prayers won’t make me change my mind. It was never really in doubt.

If any of our games going forward have an O/U of less than 170 its just free money to take the over at this point.

True. Our guys never deemed the threat to be real. It showed.

ESPN has us at 62.3 from the field and 53.3% from 3. They hit 9 more threes or +27 from 3.

I posted that with like two minutes left. Anderson and Ballo’s misses skewed it.

Beating a team that hits 17 three pointers is pretty good.

Giving up 17 three pointers is pretty bad.

Yeah, but half of them were 25 foot heat checks or step backs that I can't really blame on the defense.

Coming into last nights game Cinci was a 33% 3 point shooting team - 2 games in which they were 4/21 & 8/26 respectively.

I do admit once it became apparent that their only chance to stay in the game was to launch 3's, I expected us to tighten up on the perimeter a bit more.

Some deja vu from last season. The problem is we don't have a shot blocker. Cinci wasn't as successful at dribble penetration and easy layups. It was a trade-off. Still... since Cinci was hot from 3 we needed to close out quicker.

The game never seemed to be in doubt and the final scored was not indicative in how much we beat them. The Cats were up 17 with a little over a minute to go.

Arizona hit 79% of their shots in the second half, yet they were outscored ! Cinci hit 63% in that half!

I expect better than that!

Well if you wonder if Tommy was pissed you should read his after game comments. Ramey and Ballo were the student athletes. They ask a question about Ramey being back and what he said was on defense we have standards here. We have a system. You don't get to make up your own rules on what you do. The gym was loud and maybe that contributed to them not getting the message but I'll fix that.

Don't recall Tommy being as mad as he was when Pelle was whistled for the charge, taking 2 points off the board. It was a good call too, even though the defender wasn't set, since Larsson had his eyes for the pass and not on the defender. That will get the call every time.

His comments after the game were not that biting and were made after Ramey left.

His tongue lashing of Pelle was very impressive though. I am sure he got that point
