I think only a FF in AZ with a cutting down of the nets will bring it back. Make it so Cats
I kinda feel this team gets it and is on a revenge tour for the last 10 years

CTL just lets the players play, as you should.

If you prep your team, let them ball out.

Something miller never got about being at a program like arizona

Tommy said they came to kick ass and they did.

"It was Arizona’s biggest margin of victory against a nationally ranked opponent since beating Western Kentucky by 39 in 2002."

I want to see what the talking heads who put Arizona at #1 by default after Purdue lost have to say this week. There was a lot of talk about the Cats only being ranked there based on some tough losses by teams who are better than them.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Reminds me of Lute who let the players win, or lose the game, based on what he taught them. Dagnabbit Mustafa and Hassan.

Unlike CSM who micromanaged them, and rarely had timeouts left.

The talking heads are full of shit.

Even this am, it’s Wisconsin lost, not Arizona dismantling them.

When your teams plays even remotely like the 'Cats did yesterday, no need for TO's...

... when you're on the road, and the home teams rallies with the crowd becoming energized, a TO can, and usually should, be called to reset and settle down. We'll see some of that too during the season.

... and a few of us fans can use the time too, if only for the sake of protecting the TV screen from terminal damage!!

I actually thought that Wisconsin played pretty well, and would have beaten or competed well against most other teams.

I think Bilas hit the nail on the head - Arizona's D took them out of their game, tired them out, and our offense rolled on - the idea of a "shoot-out" was squashed after about 8-10 minutes...

We asserted our tempo and game plan throughout!

Exactly, after TOs or at the beginning of halves, when rested, they had better shooting, but as the tired legs returned they reverted to clanking shots off the front of the rim and dribbling into the paint filled with handsy defense, or losing a battle on the boards.

Ballo is much better this year at poking the ball away and disrupting paint play before a shot goes up. Big O been sandbaggin' us! HA!

Agree! Miller showed restraint up until the DWill team that beat Duke eventually lost. Then the micromanagement style overwhelmed our exceptionally athletic teams for years to come.

I used to run into Garland Judkins shooting hoops at LA Fitness and we talked quite a bit. He said that when Lute recruited him, he was told that he and the rest of the team would be coached to their strengths. When Miller took over, and Judkins left, he and the team were told that every player would play according to what Miller wanted them to do.
I will see you there, or I will see you on another time

7 turnovers with 3 being moving screens. At the pace we play, that's some high level basketball

Am I wrong in thinking that moving screens in general are rarely called anymore compared to not-too-long-ago? Remember when Ira Lee would be called for one just checking in at the scorer's table. What he used to get busted for is now done to and by us. Rules haven't changed have they?
