I really wanted to be at this game but I sold my tickets because the game is too late. Stupid decision to have a game so late.

The game time is a head scratcher. Why the UA-Alabama game isn't being played first is a mystery.

The asu game would have been perfect for the 2nd game......it would start near midnight on the east coast and nobody wants to watch Hurley anyway

If the marquis game is played first, most everyone will leave before or early in the also ran game. It’s why 3rd place games are played before Championship games. I know it’s a late game, but think about the money the concessionaires would have lost if ASU played the late game.

Exactly. Thats why its a head scratcher. The UA-Alabama game is the one that should be in the Prime TV slot, not the 1am snoozer its going to be on the east coast.

Bama has two guys who shoot the three at least as good as, if not better than, Purdue's guards. Mark Sears and Aaron Estrada. Of course Bama doesn't have Edey in the middle, so that's a critical difference. But if we go under screens and give up too many open looks, these guys can unleash quite an attack from distance. Sears had 35 vs. Purdue earlier this month and hit 8 threes. Estrada already hit 6 threes in a game this season.

Well one good thing, this game should be wrapping up about the time I wake up. Maybe I'll get to see the last couple min.
Arizona State might have the most surprisingly anemic history in men's basketball of any program that you might think is better than it is.

Because this is a must win game! So we must win and you must stay up and watch or else something undefined at this moment will definitely happen with an undetermined outcome.
So...... There, that's what's gonna happen, guarantee it.

It's a game in December so not a must win but if you want a good resume come March, it's one of our last games against a highly rated opponent. Next year will be different but with the pac being so weak, we need this wiin if we want any chance at a 1 seed

I'm not really seeing Bama as a must-win, but a loss here would raise eyebrows and, yes, it would make our argument for a 1 seed a little weaker. I think we definitely need a split this week, but 2-0 would be beautiful. 2-0 this week + the Pac reg season title = a 1 seed, imo.

If I look at the NET ranking, Bama is 10, FAU 11. In the pac, Utah is 29, Colo is 38, WSU is 42, UW 48, OU 77, USC 81. The pac is very weak which wont help us at all.

Nope, not one bit. It's almost as if our Pac schedule can only hurt us, if we happen to drop a few against these Q2 and Q3 opponents. And the reality is that we're not going undefeated in conference. We'll end up dropping at least 3 games, imo.

IMNSHO, we don’t need any “help” this year. Arizona is, and should be, confident vs all comers.

BTFD!!!! Bring it on!!!

I'm off to the game in a few minutes.

If Alabama starts pulling a Purdue and rolling 3 point shooters off of high screens CTL needs to adjust.....unlike what Miller would do.

How about getting Ballo out from under the basket and hedging the screen??? If the Alabama guard manages to get the ball to the Alabama center slipping the screen on the way to the basket at least its only 2 and not a 3

They're a good offensive rebounding team also so we need to secure the defensive glass. No lapses tonight either

If we try to run with this team, we can win, but the final score will be like 95-90 or something. Close games can always go either way.

I'd like to see us create some turnovers early and slowly build towards a comfortable lead.

Can't let them get open looks from 3 or they'll bury us.

Watching Hurley throw a fit is at least partially entertaining.
