Of to Laughlin for the weekend. I've been in Arizona since 1967 (except for the Army years) and have never been there.

It's definitely not Vegas, and more of an older crowd. So the type of shows in town are going to represent that. But there still is cool things to do. I remember a big breakfast meal for 99 cents. If you are there to gamble a little bit and have some free drinks it's okay.

I always stayed at Harrah's. I like their sports room. I loved the progressive bonus poker machines at the bar. The bar had plate glass windows as a backdrop that overlooked the Colorado River. The only time I ever won a jackpot. And I won 2 jackpots on the same bank of machines on the same day. Never won before, never won since.

I'm going for a golf tournament on Sunday. My group got a block of rooms at the Colorado Belle.

Early impressions, Laughlin is Vegas: trailer park edition.

I once almost died in Laughlin. It was the highlight of my visit.

I once had a work conference at a casino about 10 min south of Laughlin. Worst work conference ever.

I also played Laughlin Jr. High when I was in Jr. High in Las Vegas. We beat them by 80 at home and 84 on the road.

You're talking about Avi, Spiff. My mother and I got the stomach flu eating lunch there once.

Laughlin hit its peak in the '90s. Unfortunately, prices have climbed since then, while quality has flattened, if not bottomed out.

My youngest brother (youngest being 55) and his wife just went there on his Harley, and really liked it. His posted the music videos on his FB page and they all seem pretty good, music my generation really likes.

Saturday walks and live music all night long. Where else can you go and listen to 6 free, live performers all within 2 city blocks.
