Atlanta

Post by Chicat »

I’m here in the Dirty South for the week and Lordy I don’t know that I’ve ever hung out in such an overpriced town.

About to eat a $24 burger (no sides included) and I swear that if it doesn’t somehow change my life in a measurable way for the better I’m going to be incredibly pissed.

Update: The burger was good. Not $24 good though. More like $15 good.

This city is really stupid expensive. My hotel is like 30% higher than a similar one in Chicago and Lyft is pretty much raping me on 3 mile rides.

Hopefully this is a work trip and you will get reimbursed.

Went there a number of years ago on business, and the only things I remember was the Coke museum, some Civil War battleground, the really nice airport train, and most of all, that the War of Northern Aggression was probably 20 years ago.

Don't even recall the food.

I was just in Chicago and was still under sticker shock. I just think any downtown area is crazy overpriced now. I don't remember food in Atlanta either but it's been about 16 years for me.

Yep. I definitely wouldn’t come here for vacation.

And happy 95th Jimmy! A great man for sure, and one of the very few true Christian presidents.
