Anybody been to Bryce Canton lately? We're looking to check it out in a couple of weeks.

I think it was four years ago we did a big 4 Corners thing that included Bryce, Zion, Arches, Monument Valley, and Mesa Verde. Your timing is much smarter than ours at least in respect of Bryce and Zion: they were both overheated, overpopulated zoos, beautiful, stunning actually, though they are. Staying in Hatch is brilliant planning. We stayed in Panguitch because we knew of it from a contract back in '03 when I did a job one drainage west of Bryce canyon. You may be luckier than we were, but the food we encountered was execrable, vile, bilge. In St. George however there are enough nonnative Utah immigrant/residents to allow for decent food and drink and the absence of the bizarre pity that one gets when ordering alcohol with a meal in Utah.

Be careful of abrupt physical exertion. If you're not used to it the elevation can knock your dick in the dirt.

Don't discount Zion if you have the chance. Zion has massive formations while Bryce has delicate intricate ones. You're gonna love it.

That view of Monument Valley when you come through the pass before Page is breathtaking.

Just a little in the shade. We're spending the night in Page.

Be wary after gassing up at the Maverick station on 89 and Lake Powell. Twice they've mistakenly added lotto tickets to our gas purchase. Check your receipt.

I always avoid Page and go over the Kaibab Plateau and hit Kanab from the south. Great scenery and not a lot of traffic this time of year.
