Hate to do this, but I think I'd rather get some work done. Sigh.

Hope we make a comeback.

Just shows that no matter how great the offense is, pitching is critical and has been lacking. The 2012 team was full of great arms as well as the 2016 team.

Abshier & Luna getting suspended didn't help the cause. We all knew their suspension would bite us in the ass once we faced tougher competition

Of course this is one of the few games I’ve been able to watch this season.

Might as well mimic AZCatGirl and get some work done instead.

The dagger is when we find out it was something ridiculous they were suspended for. Hoping what they didn’t wasn’t terrible, but if it was a small offense, that’s going to be even more frustrating

Is Yeskie trying to pitch every pitcher we have today?

Well here's some good news - not including any potential transfers, we should return our entire roster next year with the exception of Vince Vannelle and Preston Price. Donta is a Jr so we'll see what happens this summer with him - I haven't looked into any projected draft rankings. We have a ton of freshman and sophs, including mostly frosh pitchers. Looks like our offense should be just as potent next year and hopefully our extremely young pitching staff will only improve with another year of Yeskie.

Next year should even be a better year as they return most of the team. Be nice if they can get some more arms from the transfer portal.

It will be interesting to see where he ends up. He’ll be up there with Bobby Dalbec on players I’ll always follow.

Side note, Ryan Holgate is draft eligible. I wouldn’t hold my breath on him coming back. Same with the suspended pitchers. Blake Paugh (who was important before he got hurt) and Bossierre might be as well.

They’re all listed as sophomores because of the COVID year but they’re all over 21. The only one I’m not sure on is Bossierre.

There will be a lot of talent here next year still.

Well finished my work in time to see the bottom of the 9th... yipes. Glad we scored some runs but geez this is an embarrassing loss. I really thought the baseball team would go farther than the softball team.

Hope our President gets his head out of his ass and throws a lot of money at Jay.

Also rooting for whoever Vandy plays.

Him leaving would be more depressing than the loss today. Especially after all the coaching upheaval. We already have 4 brand new, never coaches a game head coaches. My heart can’t take another.

And Heeke burned the relationship with Stevens so going back to him for help probably won’t happen.

JJ needs a bump to at least 750k a year because LSU will offer 1.2m a year

If it’s about money he may want to be the highest in the conference at least and I think Oregon pays our former assistant/their head coach 1m

Arizona should be a better baseball job than LSU. But the leadership at our university and historically in our conference has rendered that untrue.

I agree with Chi. No way a 4 time NC and best in the west school should lose a coach to anyone.

That said, his comments at the super about our fans being the best was almost like a goodbye to them and today’s message sounded like a goodbye to the team

This team never had the pitching to win it all. Still crazy to think what might have happened against Vandy had the ump not been fooled and called Silseth's 3-2 slider a strike in the 7th.

As for JJ, he should ask Andy Lopez what it's like when a west coast guy leaves for SEC money. Lopez was a good coach at Florida, but never really fit in, so despite the success, Lopez got fired. Lopez went back west to Arizona, and the rest is history.

If the pitching suspensions were handled poorly by admin, that’s not going to help with retaining him.
