Great job again guys on overcoming an deficit to win. You guys have a great squad. I'm proud of the way EKU played in 3 of the 4 games but it hurts knowing we probably should of taken 2 of 4. I'm concerned the same issue we had with closing games last season will haunt us again.

Good luck to the Cats the rest of the season and thanks for the kind welcoming and friendliness. Maybe our paths will cross again.

I went to the opening night game and I wanted to give some love to the facility improvements made over the last year. The new (pole-less)backstop net is great, the improved sounds system is kicking, the giant video board is light years better than the old.

Games at Hi Corbett were great from the start, but they just keep making them better and better. My advice to any local fans is get to some of these early games, because im sure it will encourage you too come back as often as possible.

Are they showing replays on the video board?

Still have 32oz beers right? I think they were $8 last year

I believe replays will only be for tv games

and yes they have 32oz beers, didn't see the price but it seemed like they upped the variety

I was in Kentucky this past weekend and ran into a EKU fan while wearing Arizona gear. I was ashamed to have to admit I didn't realize we were playing each other. Super nice guy who caught me up on how the series was going. Knew a ton about your team. From what he said, it looks like you guys will have a really good squad, so I'm happy we lucked out and stole that sweep.

Good luck the rest of the season!

Cats started off the 4 game series last night with a 9-3 win. Cloney gave up 0 unearned for his second win of the year. Has out he'd like 30 innings now without an earned run. He came back because no one drafted him. Wow, just wow

The bookstore has Nike baseball jerseys. They have navy and red red jerseys, no white. Also, the fabric is the dri-fit material, much better than the Champion jerseys they carried.

It's a race between baseball and softball to see who will remain undefeated longest.

I just picked one of those up, they are really nice. I've been on campus the last 3 days (first time since early 2014), and I saw more people wearing baseball jerseys than football and basketball combined. It was crazy to me. I have one of the old white Nike ones too, but the new ones are awesome (and not wildly oversized for normal people like me).

Oliva just hit a 3 Run dinger to tie it up 4-4 in the third. Cats trying to sweep another 4 game series. They are hitting .378 as a team and we are averaging 11 runs a game

12-5 Cats going into the 8th. That got out of hand in a hurry.

Way to get out of a jam, Ming had the bases loaded with no outs, struck out the next batter, got the following batter to ground out for a double play.

Definitely need to find two more starters but it sounds like JJ has a plan. The middle relief and long relief guys have been solid and Ming is nails. No holes in the offense that's for sure but it will be interesting once we see a solid staff

Big weekend coming up, will be interesting to see who starts the Saturday/Sunday games. I'm sure Rio gets one of the starts, but I'm not sure we can trust Megill to start right now.

Agreed but for some reason JJ thinks he will come around. Going to do more intense bullpen sessions with him he said

Louis Boyd out for 6 weeks with a left shoulder injury.

Cameron Cannon at SS and Kyle Lewis at 2B will be the norm for awhile.

Thanks Choo, I was wondering about that last weekend.

I think Cameron might just nail down that SS job. Louis was scuffing with the bat (expected) and glove before the injury. Cannon is a 3 year starter type player.

What are we going to do about a 3rd starter? I know...the eternal question. I thought Ming might slide into that role, but he has become valuable out of the pen. Rivas cannot be a long term answer doing double duty. And Flynn has closer written all over him.

If Cameron is going to nail down the SS job he's gotta do a better job fielding. 2 errors 3 innings into this game already.

Top of the 6th Arizona up 1-0. Oliva came through with a RBI double. Shane Martinez in for Cameron Cannon at SS, that's a ballsy move.
