great couple of days for the softball team

now to finish it up and hopefully get one last W against UT Arlington.

It was the other team's catcher who basically tackled Palacios. She was thrown out of the game for it. Really sweet of her to injure our best catcher.

Hoping Palacios is ok and won't have to spend much time out (or not missing any time would be great). I didnt get to watch the game but followed it while at the women's basketball game and was happy to see she was released to go back home with the team.

She was knocked out cold, so I would assume head injury. There's a picture of her out with the team after the game and smiling, so I think she's ok.

Lopez has really started off this game struggling vs SIUE giving up 3 hits and a run. hopefully she settles back into normal form moving forward

good thing our bats retook the lead instantly in the bottom of the first lol

and ends up being an easy 15-2 victory

They are, but in no way shape of form should it have taken a walk off homer to beat them. There's something off with the bats and Candrea has said as much himself. Of course they went for 15 runs against not even the real Southern Illinois, but yeah, still a weird ongoing issue.

Cats beat Indiana 6-1 improve to 21-3. They play Tuesday against St. Joseph's before they open up conference play vs Oregon State on Friday.

yeah it was annoying as hell and I was wondering where something like that fell in regards to batter distraction rules.

I guess it's legal else the ump would have done something, but seems like a punk move.

Curious to see if the players come back or move on with life. Add Dejah and bring them back, next year would be really interesting. Also, if Harper can keep her 9 bombs and come back another year, she'll easily break the record.

Harper was intending to come back next year as an understudy to be a future coach so I imagine she returns.

I just can't believe they cancelled the season though, I'm still in shock.

Me too. I was all excited to be Tucson this weekend and into next week. My wife and I were going to our son to hi first softball game. Good things are worth waiting for I guess.

Of course, every team in the country will be in the same boat.

If they were as loaded as we were and keep the team together, add their expected recruits, etc, etc... then everybody will be loaded next year and the whole season will be really interesting.
