I started going to their games in the beginning of the year they won the WNIT. They grew so much throughout the season and you could tell Adia was building something. Fast forward a couple years later and here they are. Amazing to see how they grew as a team and as players

The last live sporting event I attended in person before COVID was watching the ladies in Boulder last year. Aari was out, Cate wasn't feeling well, and they got beat. Great to see them go where no Arizona team has gone before this season.

That tap pass off the loose ball from pauyo (sp) to Yeaney was fantastic and just sums up this team.

The way they stepped up and shot the ball from three the last two games was another testament on how locked in they are

Would be nice if refs subconsciously screw UConn after the no-call with Baylor.

Yes. They made only the 2nd Sweet 16 in program history and this is our first Elite Eight and Final Four.

If things end here, this is easily the most accomplished team in program history and sets a new standard. They're the 1987-88 men's team in terms of moving things to a level they've never been before.

Anyone know how many win shares the PAC will get from Stanford and Arizona in the final four? May pay women's expenses for the next couple of years.

I don't know, but historically the PAC splits revenues like that 12 ways, once expenses are paid of the attending teams. Usually that is like an extra share. Needless to say, the attending teams have no reason to not cut back on expenses.

The PAC also splits expenses of football ball games which do not make any money, such as pretty much every one the UA football program has gone to, So whatever Oregon makes for a premier bowl game, the PAC uses to pay for the money losers. Teams are required to sell so many tickets, which they can't sell them all, so need to make up the difference to the bowl committee. Some non-PAC teams have been known to refuse bowl games, since they have to make up the difference themselves.

Due to the success and future of this program, season tickets will definitely be going up. This program could very well make money for the athletic department.

I figured with how strong the home crowds were last year they might've already turned a financial corner. With a ready-made basketball fanbase in waiting it's a no-brainer for the athletic department to start marketing this team across town. So glad I watched them in person last year.

UConn is so damn tall. Going to pose a big problem for us on the offensive end getting good looks at shots.

Beating them will be a tall order, pun intended. Like Stanford it’s just not a great match up for us.

At some point their coach retires and you have to wonder if a coach like Adia or Dawn Staley from South Carolina might be give a hard look.

For sure if Adia were to leave she has shown coaches what can be done here at AZ so we should be able to get a quality coach down the road(hope she stays forever though)

Adia can move on once Aari is done playing professionally and wants to come back to the desert to coach.

As I stated before Aida will be graded on how well she does w/o a once in a generational player at Arizona. She has shown great coaching ability but players and wins are what determines how you are viewed.

Just saw So. Carolina hold Texas scoreless in the 4th quarter so we have that to look forward to after we beat UCONN.

I honestly wouldn't have guessed we might be the lone Pac team in the Final 4. Hope Stanford can get it together in the second. I want some revenge against them.

It's how ADs/GMs SHOULD grade coaches but look at the Arizona Cardinals, hiring Kliff Kingsbury solely because he was Patrick Mahomes' college coach. And posted around a .500 W/L record while Mahomes started. Go figure.

Half of good coaching is getting good players. If Phil Jackson doesn't have Jordan, Pippen, Kobe and Shaq, he's just the crappy Knicks GM and not the Zenmaster.

The key to Barnes's long term success is sustaining the recruiting of talent and coaching the way she has been. That may not always mean Final Fours, but I can easily see her making us a regular tourney team. That alone would be twice the success Arizona has ever had in women's basketball, and if she does that, she deserves to be here for as long as she wants.

She may never have another Aari, but it's not unreasonable to think she can get consistent tourney talent. In a significant way, it's easier without the OAD factor in men's basketball.

I honestly rate the U of A's chances vs UConn on Friday about equal to those of the '97 Men's team entering the Sweet 16 vs KU, the consensus #1 at the time...

... and I'm putting out just as faithful, if not particularly confident, "BEAR DOWN" as I did at the time!!!

BEAR DOWN ARIZONA!!!!
