That's when the claims of cheating by everyone not named UW started, with Arizona being at the top of his enemies list. The obsession has never ended.
One of the hardest I ever laughed was a Twitter exchange between him and Twitter. I don't have the exact screen grabs but it when something like this.

Basnight: "Alright Dawg fans I'm ready to answer any questions you have"

Gershon "Okay I'll bite, over/under the number of minutes Angelo Chol gets for UW this season"

At that point Basnight went ballistic in several twitter rants about Arizona's cheating.

And yes the underwear pic, whatever happened to that?

Pretty sure that is ASUHater's fault.

What happened to Schnebly that made him stop posting 11 times a day? Might have been that time he accidentally dried off with Itamicbomb's towel.
Was that before or after he ran off with Claudia?

This is unbelievable. I came here to read all the good vibes for the 2017 recruiting class w the Randolph commitment and I see this. Man this program is so snakebit.

First Ferguson now Trier. This roster keeps getting gutted. 2 of our 3 best pluers may never suit up this year. Ugh.

Something bad is always on the horizon...if you wait long enough and look hard enough it will happen.

I'm looking forward to the Red/Blue and another great year of bball, let the cards fall where they may.

Part of being great is having bad things happen. Because you expect greatness.

ASU lost 94% of their roster to transfer. They don't even know. Bobby Hurley sits in his office longingly looking at pictures of Buffalo.

We lose a recruit we got but knew might not stick, and it is tragedy. We have a player suspended (if he is) and it takes us out of the national title discussion...

Our issues are like so many other schools. There's just a lot more on the line for us. I imagine about 320 programs wish they had 3 Elite Eight appearances in 5 years. But we are beyond that.

Greater reward...greater risk.

But we be ok...

There is so much unknown with this years team, as with alot of others, that any talk of "out of contention" etc is ridiculous btw.

If he is suspended for a year, I would assume there's a 99.9999% chance his route is overseas/draft for this year. I don't know why anyone wouldn't take that path.

The NCAA policy is crazy, and for any player with pro prospects, there isn't really a choice in that scenario.

Back to Will Grier at Florida. He was suspended in the middle of the season by the NCAA. Florida appealed but it was upheld and the suspension was for 365 days. So he wasn't allowed to play, practice, or do anything with the team for 365 days. So essentially they suspended him for 2 seasons because what football team is just going to put a QB back at their starting spot mid-way through a season without any practice or anything. He transferred to WVU and is hoping to play next season. But it would appear that the NCAA totally ruined this kids career. His substance was totally legal and over-the-counter btw. He made a mistake for sure but the penalty seems rather harsh.

I'm not optimistic. If they went hard on Grier for OTC stuff and McGary as well (granted his was weed) I don't see why they wouldnt do the same for Trier. Only difference is he is a bigger star.

Go Cats.

By now I'm sure you've seen the rumors about Trier. I am surprised there is not a thread yet. Thought I'd make one so we start compiling info until Miller releases a statement. We could be super ****ed

YoDeFoe
A thread was made. It was full of speculation that is unfounded in anything official. We have only twitter rumors. There is nothing to discuss.
If something is developing re: Trier, let's leave it alone until we have real news rather than run around with our heads cut off or worse: deepen a negative rumor that may not turn out to be true.
Hopefully everyone agrees and we leave it at that.

G2Martinez
It's all true and now the Athletic dept is trying to handle it the same way they handled Pitts. Stop playing the dumb fanboy role people. There's an appeal process and everyone is publicly going on like its business as usual. Won't matter. Trier won't play this season.
I loved the deflective damage control this morning with the Trier gold jersey tweet. Is that the best you have Coach Pasternack? If you're going to be the lead recruiter on a rapist, a ped user and then deandre ayton you may need to check yourself before you wreck yourself. No need to bring Arizona down with your over zealous recruiting and cover up skills. You've already been fired once.

catnthewoods
Thats pretty aggressive calling someone a rapist when there was an investigation and he was cleared.

I would think everything would be kept hush hush until after the Red/Blue game. If Trier does not play in that game for any reason, I would suspect some bad news will be imminent.

He'll play in that game. What is the NCAA going to do? Make the red team he was playing on forfiet?
