The program is in good hands. CTL said there are big plans for Red-Blue in the future.

Big plans for just another practice?
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

I'll be the first to admit that my memory is shit, but if memory serves (oh the irony), we usually win the league when we're predicted to.

It's interesting if you look at past predictions and actual conference winners:

The poll has been in place for 40 years and Arizona was projected first 18 times, next closest was UCLA with 11.

And Arizona has won the conference 18 times (including ties) as well - just not necessarily when we were projected to be first. The Bruins have only won it 10 times.

It really has been a 2 team conference for 4 decades with the Ducks, Dawgs and Cardinal with an occasional break out year.

And ASSU....

I love knowing that AZ owns the last 40 years of the Pac. 18 titles...incredible. And I love our chances at #19.

Great way to go out of the PAC being the final conference and tourney champs!

Although going with 7 during the PAC tourney did seem to hurt the UA in the NCAA tourney*, but much deeper bench this season. Both injury prone Zu and Kriisa are gone too.

We went out against Princeton because of the match up issues - too many slow bigs/not enough quality guards.

This years roster looks like it addresses that problem.

I have no idea who that person is he is supposed to be, but Larsson speaks like an American now. Just a slight accent. Probably started English in the 3rd grade.

EDIT: Looked him up: fútbol player

It's really a shame Bill Frieder couldn't be in his coaching prime now, because he'd be making videos left and right and doing all sorts of viral stunts. He was such a natural comedian.

Not trying to be devils advocate but I couldn't care less about conference titles. Elite programs have higher expectations. Especially programs in conferences which are historically more than two deep in relevance year after year. Do something when it counts and when it matters the most. We've had the luxury of multiple conference titles because overall the Pac10/12 has stunk from 3 down for decades. We run up a good record on mickey mouse conference teams year after year and get to the tournament only to be exposed and embarrassed time and again. I like the tough early season schedule but once again we will win a lot of games against crappy conference opponents and show up for the NCAA tournament ill prepared for the Princeton's of the college basketball world. It's an annoying cycle that gets old and my tolerance for it has worn thin. Nobody remember conference champions, they remember FF's and National titles. That's just reality.

My expectation is to win the last ever Pac-12 conference and tournament titles and ideally win it all in Glendale. Nobody here is content with mediocrity.

Conference titles matter, and the Pac isn't half bad this year. I'll be pretty stoked if we win the league in its last year of existence. Good momentum heading into the Big 12. Still can't believe that's happening.

Arizona State might have the most surprisingly anemic history in men's basketball of any program that you might think is better than it is.

Those Kenpom rankings early on are heavily influenced by last year. I think he is pretty close about our projected record but the way he has USC ranked and Colorado is a bit low.

Single game tickets for all games went on sale this morning. A little warning sure would've been nice! Also, why are they doing this on a Wednesday when most people are working? So glad I checked my email or I would've been pissed. Managed to find some good seats for UCLA and ASU luckily. I suggest if anyone wants to go to a game they go buy tickets ASAP before all the good ones are sold out. UCLA are priced the highest for obvious reasons.

Your TV would need to be able to download the VPN's app, assuming it has one, but it would work.

Agreed, if Ballo and Krivas live up to expectations.

Watching last nite, I felt a bit anxious when I thought of some of the centers we'll be facing this fall (e.g., Edey, Filipowski, Dickinson)
