I don't think it's as good as the MGM was. It doesn't seem to have the same atmosphere. There was still a huge Arizona turnout but percentage wise it wasn't as overwhelming as in the past. The upper deck though did look predominantly red.

First, T Mobile is huuuuge. Seats 20K and is configured for 18,500 for this event. A USC fan sitting behind me marveled at how many AZ fans there were in the arena.

Even with probably 10,000 cat fans screaming like usual you couldn't really compare it to McKale or the Grand Garden Arena. Both of those have that college arena feel whole this has that huge, corporate feel.

If Larry Scott was hoping to neutralize any home court advantage well he did it. I was thinking though, what if every cat fan Said F U Larry, we are not coming next year and Miller blessed that revolt. That place would be empty given how big it is.

The MGM was one big open space. It made everyone feel closer. T-Mobile has the upper and lower bowl, and the stands seem to spread farther back than vertical, like most mega-arenas. I am sure it is very comfortable. But that manic energy of the MGM games seems gone.

Lots of changes. At the MGM it seemed most stayed there so on days like yoday, the casino would be very crowded with cat fans. Now they are all spread out.

The corridors leading to the GGA was packed and chants of A R I Z O N A would erupt and it would be loud. That is also missing to a great degree.

You can't exit T-Mobile and reenter which drinks and you can't bring beverages into the arena like you could at MGM.

Small but noticeable changes that to me are negatives. I haven't found any decided positives at this point

There is one positive, IMO........it is easier to get out of. Exiting the MGM Grand Arena was a little like migrating up an undersized creek with a million salmon.

Well we all know how the Cal Oregon game is going to end (with an Oregon win), but Brooks did just pick up two quick fouls...to give him four fouls with 18 minutes left in the second. So that should at least keep it interesting for a while longer.

Bird being out for the rest of the game w/ a concussion sorta cancels it out.

In a rational world, Oregon takes UNC's #1 spot.

They will probably move it to one of the other channels but it should also be on the watch ESPN app from the beginning.

So our game day game against UCLA drew a season high of 2.4M viewers. One would have to think that LA viewership would mean something to Larry Scott. Might be tough sledding call wise on our cats. We will see

The watch ESPN app also has above the rim cam which shows the game from each end with just the stadium sounds and no commentary.

I watched us play Oregon that way. Bad associations. Still, it was glorious just to hear the arena noise.

Arizona might end up being a 2 in the West even with a loss to Oregon, who might get shipped out as a 1 seed.

I think there's a 20%-30% chance the winner is the number 1 in the South region.

North Carolina crapping the bed might have opened up a door for Oregon as a 1 seed. It's almost as if Oregon can't stay in the west now

Thinking if they win they're shipped out as a 1 and lose they're shipped out as a 2? And the UA is the 2 out west win or lose?

I dont think Arizona will get the 1, though it could happen. I think if Arizona wins, they'll probably be the 2 in the West, which is better than a 1 anywhere else.

If Oregon loses tomorrow, I'm not sure who is the 4th seed. I guess you guys could be it, but you'll probably get shipped to the same bracket as UNC or something undesireable like that.

I guess this deserves to go in the other thread.

^^^** this!!!!!!!

Dusan has been better and I have no problem w him starting when the matchup permits, but tomorrow is not that night. Oregon is a horrible matchup for him. Plus moving Lauri to the 5 gets him off Brooks and likely out of foul trouble
