Maybe a win over UCLA and USC trumps a Zags win over St Mary's.

I'll readily admit that if we win out between now and next Sunday (and Gonzaga does the same), then sure, the committee's decision gets a little harder. But we aren't going to face UCLA *and* USC, right? Those are the 2 and 3 seeds, so we can only play one of them, and it would be in the Pac tourney final.

I didn't think that deep into it. Now I don't think we have a chance to pass them.

Purdue has zero defense.

Not scared of 1 player
this is accurate - AZ will curb stomp Purdue... Arkansas is just weird enough with a dynamic awkward point player.

Brackets has both Baylor and Kansas as 1 seeds and Kentucky and Auburn as 2 seeds.

I think the winner of the Big 12 and the SEC should get the 2 seed and that make Duke and Wisconsin as 2 seeds as well.

Just don’t know how you make Kentucky a 2 seed if they win the SEC and they would have beat Kansas like a drum at the Phog

Big12 will weed itself out head to head with the other being the top #2 seed -

BW - i want Tech as far away from AZ as possible - todays loss to an unranked opponent drops them to the bottom of the three line on the brink of a four seed.

there is not one team i dont want in AZ's top half more than Tech (of the possible teams of course)

We are going to have to beat some physical, tough defensive team somewhere on our March to New Orleans.

We'd beat Texas Tech handily IMO. It's the teams with elite three point shooting that keep me up at night. That's why Purdue gives me pause. Though their defense is indeed wretched.

Locked #1 seed after yesterday’s win.

Selection Sunday will be about what region we are in and what potential matchups we will face.

Will be nice once again to hear our name called out in the first 5 minutes of the show.

You win the pac reg season, and the pac conference, entering ncaa at 31-3 with likely a win over ucla, again…that’s a strong ass case for overall #1.

Also, we will see sooner if the zags can make it out of Vegas unscathed.

If St Marys beats Gonzaga again then that’s a team I hope that stays out of our region. Would be interesting to hear how we played them in our super secret scrimmage/game in the preseason

I'm totally down with this plan '97. And if it does end up in Chicago don't we know someone from this board who lives nearby that may play cruise director?

I still think the winner of the Kansas-Baylor Big 12 Tourney game (assuming that's the final) will get that #1 seed.

I think we need to get past the asu/stanford winner before anyone makes reservations. Losing to a NET 95 ranked team will not help us hang onto a 1 seed.

I'll be in Las Vegas next week and San Diego the week after.

Hoping for either the South/West for our seed. Either San Francisco or San Antonio (especially San Antonio) would be great.

As for Chicago (Midwest), forget it. I'll pass on the murder capital of the Midwest. Large parts of the town are nothing more than an open sewer. Over 800 murders and 1800 carjackings in 2021. I have a large number of relatives in the Champaign area (and just north of there). They have been avoiding Chicago completely......they head to Indianapolis for anything they can't get locally.

Ignoring whatever the fuck that was about Chicago......

We have the 1 seed.

Explain how we get passed up?

Kansas or Baylor- 1 must lose
Kentucky or Auburn- 1 must lose
Wisconsin or Purdue- 1 must lose

Duke?!!!!!!

We are a lock for a #1 seed no matter what happens in our next game. It's Gonzaga and Arizona - and the Big 12 and SEC winners. Big 10 shot it's wad so nobody from there. And Duke...hahaha.

Oh, and if we have a Chicago get together it sounds like it needs to be by invitation only.
Sheesh.
