Early possibly likely whatever you want to call it 2018 class:

Brandon Williams
David Singleton
Emmanuel Akot
Taeshon Cherry
Bol Bol

I think he's a better fit for UCLA and Cherry is a better fit for us. Nothing about that list is a sure thing of course, just a very early very possible recruiting class for us. This stuff changes daily.

Going by the early lists from 2015, 2016, 2017, we'll end up with different players yet a better class.

Lol so goes Arizona recruiting. I think only Lee and MAYBE Barcello could've showed up in an early 2017 class list like this.

Now it's 50/50 as Jerry Meyer predicts UA.

The 247 site updated on the last 2 hours with a new crystal ball prediction from the national recruiting director. It was for Arizona...So now there's 2 crystal ball predictions: 1 for Utah from last summer and 1 for Arizona from today.

Hopefully we hold on to Akot, unlike Leaf, Dorsey. Although we got better players to replace them.

Akot reminds me of Stanley, a big, physically developed wing ready to go from day 1.

I'd wager he'll be another Miller wing doing things in the NBA before too long.

“When I went (to Arizona), I got to know the coaching staff pretty well,” Akot said. “They have big plans for me and see me in the NBA someday. I feel like Arizona will give me the best opportunity to reach my goal. Arizona always has very good teams and I like to win and they have a winning culture at Arizona. The overall school and atmosphere also played a part in my decision. It is somewhere I can focus on winning and reaching my goals but also enjoy life at school.”

“I plan to score the ball and find my teammates, but I also want to be known as a tough guy. I want to come in and stop the other team’s best player, rebound and do all the little things to help my team win,” he said.

Between Ira Lee and Emmanuel Akot we should have a couple of VERY capable defenders in 2018-19. Athletic, long, and best of all willing to take defense personally.

After getting abused by guys in their size range and with that skill set this year I'm stoked to have this tool in the future.

Ray Smith's ACL injuries really are responsible for two years of having issues with 6'6-6'8 guys. He was made for that role, and both years we were expecting him to fill it well.

This is like Josiah, but Josiah was far worse. Set us back years, we had to get Lyons, we lucked out getting TJ. However we never recovered recruiting top PGs since.

Hopefully Brandon Williams breaks the cold steak

Very hopeful we can pick up Brandon Williams in 2018. I was worried about Kansas picking him off but with him taking the season off to recover from knee surgery (bone spur, I think) maybe he stays just enough below their radar and gets just enough love from us to pick Arizona.

Assuming they land Bowen, I really love our potential wings that year with him Akot, Randolph, and potentially a hybrid 3/4 in Cherry

2018 five-star Emmanuel Akot verbally commits to Wildcats

The staff just added a big time talent as its first piece of the 2018 class

Five-star junior Emmanuel Akot told ESPN on Thursday that he has committed to Arizona.

Akot, a 6-foot-6 small forward from Wasatch Academy (Utah), took official visits to Arizona and Utah in recent weeks and also had Oregon and Louisville on his final list of schools.

On the ESPN scouts take, it said there is a possibility Akot could reclassify to 2017. That would mean no Bowen, so odd imagine we wouldn't want that, right?

That's listed as one of his weakness in the draft express profile.
Weaknesses:
-Year old for his class. Turning 18 next month but over a year and a half away from entering college still.
Josh Jackson is 20 currently so similar case. I'd want for the 18 class, not this year's.

Bagley not even considering ASU despite his grandfather Joe Caldwell playing there and being a hometown talent. Good!

Bagley gets into fights with women's basketball players and trashes their cars?

If he wants to lose to Oregon, he might as well stay in Los Angeles.

Heard his dad has taken Nike money though, so not sure ucla is it

Add shaqs kid to the class. Gonna be a monster class I assume.

It's safe to say we will have a lot of room :
Ayton
Trier
Pinder
PJC
Ristic
Talbot (likely)

At least 6 ships should be available.

First domino drops. This is going to be a monster class. Now go get bol, bagley, singleton, and Williams to fill out this class.

I know some ppl are shying away from bagley but we are talking about the best prospect since Lebron here. U get him here and work w NCAA to get him eligible. Gotta think Romar will help w this kid.

Idc what kind of headache he is, you don't pass on that kind of talent.
