Skip to about 5:00 in and you'll see where Koubek hits a 3 (wayyyy behind the line) that is only credited as a 2. That's why Duke cancelled that series. The PAC-10 even officially apologized later.
That’s an atrocious call…yikes.
Duke had 78n points; The three moved the score to 81 points...

WTF are you talking about???

About a minute later they change it from a 3 to a 2 during free throws for us.

Updated way too early rankings from Borzello

Only posting because it seems everyone in the program thinks Larsson is going to take a huge step this year
16. Arizona Wildcats
Previous: 16

The buzz continues to grow for a Pelle Larsson breakout season. Early word coming out of Tucson, Arizona, this offseason was that Larsson was poised to take the next step and become a go-to offensive player for the Wildcats, after a campaign in which he showed his ability -- especially as a shooter -- in flashes. He gained some experience against older players earlier this summer playing for Sweden in two FIBA World Cup European qualifiers, including going up against Luka Doncic. He had seven points and four boards off the bench against Slovenia. Larsson has good size for the perimeter, is a capable passer and shot better than 46% from 3 as a freshman at Utah. With a lot of firepower gone to the NBA draft, Larsson's ability to make shots will be key for coach Tommy Lloyd.

Projected starting lineup:

Kerr Kriisa (9.7 PPG)
Pelle Larsson (7.2 PPG)
Courtney Ramey (9.4 PPG at Texas)
Azuolas Tubelis (13.9 PPG)
Oumar Ballo (6.8 PPG)

Yeah, Bal won't start this season baring someone being out. Veesaar makes perfect sense as a replacement behind both Tubelis and Ballo off the bench all season. And we got Ramey as a compliment next to Kerr and not to replace him in the starting line-up (Ramey isn't a great on ball creator, he's a pretty good one and an excellent off ball finisher while being a great defender... which is a perfect compliment to the more creative Kerr who could use the defensive help next to him).

going to be very curious to see how good Veesaar is...if Vegas had odds for who would play more minutes this year between him and Ballo, I would bet Ballo would be something like a -250 favorite, but I would like Veesaar as a +200 dog at that point.

Legit just rewatched video of him this morning... need him to get up to speed with how we play and the American / college game in general, but man - once he gets is - whooooo boy. The shooting, passing, ball handling, and defense... he's the total package.

Per some random guy on Twitter the tickets go on sale 4 months before the event. So that would be Aug. 10th.

I’ll be keeping a close eye on this one and will say something when I find out.

Cincy is going to be tough per https://www.azdesertswarm.com/basketbal ... zRweoM8kjw

Cincinnati is coming off an 18-15 season under first-year coach Wes Miller, but the Bearcats return four starters and have added three transfers including former Memphis guard Landers Nolley II and ex-Old Dominion power forward Kalu Ezikpe.

Memories of Cinci:

I think he makes a jump, but not sure how many minutes he can get at the 2/3 between him, Ramey, Pelle, Henderson. Pelle and Ramey likely getting 25-30 min each. Even if it’s 25 a pop, that only leaves 30 min for him and Henderson to split. And is he already better than Henderson is right now? I’m a betting man and I would bet (at least for the first 2 months) that Henderson gets more PT

I actually love our roster and think we'll be back in the tourney and finish top 3 in the Pac. It's hard to assess just how valuable Mathurin and Terry were last season, so I'm not sure we'll have such explosiveness and versatility in our backcourt. But then, we've got new guys I haven't seen yet, and we've got returning players who will get bigger minutes. Larsson and Bal will have a huge opportunity to shine this season.

The bigger thing, though, is that I think Tommy Lloyd knows how to connect with and bring the best out of his players. That was one of my takeaways from last season.

Henderson has age and experience, but Bal has a much greater upside. I expect early in the year, the 30 or so minutes are split between Henderson and Bal. But by the end of the year, Bal isn't playing 20+ minutes a game, I'd be surprised.

With the Coaching Carousel coming to rest it may be fun to rank the Pac-12 coaches for the coming season. The following uses a database that I have kept for several years. It awards points for winning a regular season conference championship and for making the NCAA tournament. Additional points are given for each advancement in that event. The total points are then divided by the number of years that the individual has been a D1 head coach. Here is how they stack up:

8. Tommy Lloyd - Arizona
24. Mick Cronin - UCLA
31. Dana Altman - Oregon
47. Andy Enfield - USC
74. Wayne Tinkle - ntOSU
87. Mark Fox - California
103. Craig Smith - Utah
105. Bobby Hurley - Tempe Normal
110. Mike Hopkins - Washington
151. Jerod Haase - Stanford
160. Tad Boyle - Colorado
229. Kyle Smith - WSU

FWIW - Sean Miller comes in at #14 in this ranking.
