This sucks. Bummed. I appreciate Kerr and thought he was a loyal cat.
Hope you change your mind Kerr. If not, thanks and good luck.

Kerr at the 2 sounded worse than him starting at the point, because he's a cone on defense, small, can only shoot 3s and nowhere else from the court
No way he should've been the starting 2, especially with space killers that is the twin towers front court
I don't think he would allow himself to be a backup, so this makes sense

Biggest issue with this is what it means for Pelle. Those two are best friends, and had a regular podcast that they did together. I just hope it isn’t the first domino to losing some of the more critical pieces of our team next year.
Regardless, best of luck to the kid. I hope he finds the right situation for his senior year.

That sucks. Would have still liked him getting chunks of playing time off the bench.

Love Kerr, but let's be honest. He's an average, at best defender, and streaky shooter. Boswell is already a better defender, and more consistent shooter. Bos has NBA potential, and may be the best PG we've had on campus since Bibby. Kerr? His upside is Euro ball, which isn't a knock on him, as most college players don't even get that far.
We need an outside, lock-down defender at the 2. This is where we missed DT the most this year. Pelle is solid, but not quite the defender DT was. If we can find a defense first guy who can also hit 35% from 3, I think that will be an upgrade over Kerr at the 2 guard spot.
Wish nothing but the best for Kerr, and if he decides to come back from the portal, I'll happily accept him back. But I think we can do better than Kerr at the 2, and Bos has to be the #1 option at PG next year.

By all rights, the "BTFD!!" should no longer be associated with Arizona...
... that was Kerr's creation (after the blow out over Michigan in Vegas)!!
He has been the emotional leader and floor general of this team the past two seasons, which have been great, and I just don't get the negativity he has received from Arizona fans.
His role might have changed next year (totally a coaching decision!) , and he has every right to move on if he so chooses, as does any player. But if he chooses to leave Arizona he deserves genuine thanks for his contributions, and best wishes moving forward. Anything less is more about the entitlement and myopia of many in the Arizona fan base.
Best of luck, Kerr! It's been a helluva ride! (BTFD!!!!)
To those who have been, and are, throwing shade his way, fuck you!!!

A friend of mine who has his fingers on the pulse of college b-ball is hearing rumblings that Kerr might end up at Xavier with CSM. Whatever, it’ll be interesting to see how this all plays out.

It's probably best for him to transfer but I really don't understand the hate.
I hope he kicks ass next year

I guess he wants to follow that long line of starting AZ point guards who transferred out and went on to big things?

Love Kerr, love the fire!!!
Everyone has deficiencies, but he had great upside.
I felt he had worn out his welcome with Pac 12 refs which sucks, you should not be reffed differently than anyone else, no matter who you are. Hope he comes back.
If not,
Thank you Kerr for all you did for this program, it has been a great run and we wish you the best next year and in the future.

Is this a joke?
Are you saying BTFD was 1st coined in 2021?!!!!
Which player or coach used that in public first? Pray tell!
I have no fucking idea but I have been saying it for as long as I can remember
(I am not claiming to coin BTFD!)
As have I. But I've never heard a player or coach use it in public before he screamed it to the fans as the team left the floor that night!!
And, I can't recall ever seeing the initials "BTFD" on these boards before that.
And, now we have the FB coach's wife going public with the hat, and CTL wearing the shirt at the Pac-12 championship celebration...
IMNSHO, that's a result of Kerr's usage!

I don't see a lot of hate here. Just stating the obvious that he has weaknesses which are well known. My biggest peeve is in his inability or unwillingness to drive to the basket. He had 1 2 PT FG attempt when he played the 2 as a freshman and don't see that changing as a senior.
For his career, he averages 1.5 FTs a game. And I imagine many of those were being fouled a 3 point attempt.
I think everyone here wishes him nothing but the best. He may be an asshole, but he was our asshole.

Mike Luke is live, for everyone but PHX
I was right behind the UA bench for the Michigan game. It was Lloyd
So was I - and the first I heard it was from Kerr as the players left the court - he was yelling it to the fans - the fans around me were astounded when he did it - laughs and joy all around.
CTL may have said it, but I never heard him yell it out, or anyone nearby acknowledge it!

Serious question: have we ever had a starting PG transfer? We've had guys leave to go pro, but transfer??

Lloyd said it on the PA that night.
