Revised PAC-12 Predictions

Post by Machina »

Now that we have seen the PAC-12 OOC games, what are your predictions for the PAC-12 season?

Still think U of A is the favorite but Utah is looking good while UCLA and Colorado are not looking as good as thought previously.

How many teams will the PAC-12 get into the dance?

What is your predicted order of finish?

Does U of A get back on track and blow out ASSU?

Have a wedding Friday night, thinking about going sat.

Is the macayo party before the game? Would like to walk en masse with UofA fans because I'm planning on taking my 6mo old to her first CATS BB game and don't want to deal with the asu sh*t talkers to the degree that I would have to if walking alone.

Yes it is before the game. You would for sure being walking through Tempe with a bunch of U of A fans into the arena.

Interesting. I will see if I can get in with a can of corn. The arena is under 15 minutes away from home.

ASU, UW and the Oregons, better than I thought. (Miller picks Altman as COY, thus far)
Wazzu and USC, as bad as I thought.
Stanford and Cal, puzzlers.
Utah, solid.
UCLA and Colorado, worse than I thought but dangerous.

Arizona, more worrisome than I'd like. Figured a 4-0 start would be pretty simple, setting up the Utah game. Now I'd be elated.

1. Arizona
2. Utah

Big old crapshoot, with UW, the Oregons, ASU, Cal, Stanford.

USC
Wazzu
Right where I want to be.

They have nothing to talk shit about this year. The Territorial Cup resides in Tucson, we went to a better bowl, and their hoops team is garbage.

Lived in Phoenix 12 years. Went to many games at McKale North. Never encountered shit talkers on Mill Avenue. Football, yes. Even that was tempered, because The Streak lasted 11 years.

I'm thinking about going. I believe tickets go on sale 1/8 and I'm expecting them to be 5x's the cost of their other games.

They never have anything to talk about, but that doesn't stop them.

Great point: How much to budget and where do we pick them up? Do you have to go through ASSU ticket office?

It looks like they are trying to push their ticket packages. Although comparing the ticket prices to StubHub right now, it looks like StubHub is actually a tad cheaper in some sections compared to what Tempe would charge.

I always chuckle (and am quite annoyed) by the fact that normal McKale North tickets are like $10-15 then for our game they cost like $75.

I started a chat session with their ticket site rep and she said that they only had single seats and those sold out quickly. Then tried to push the mini pack. I told her I didn't like being forced to buy tickets to games I didn't want to go to. She said nobody was forcing me to do anything and that I must be a UofA fan. She suggested I donate the other ticket for a tax deduction. I told her to piss off.

Off to Stub Hub for some nosebleeds. I'm guessing that by half time the few season ticket holders that they have will be gone and we can all move down a bit.

Sounds like that was the goal from the beginning. I looked last week and there were 1500 tickets on stubhub and they barely have 1500 season ticket holders! If the tickets went on sale + mini plans how is that possible. I doubt scalpers were going to buy a bunch of mini plans to get their hands on UofA tickets when no one is going to buy the rest.

Oh well, I'll monitor, maybe they'll go down.

No nose bleeds at McKale North. Not with the curtains up anyways. ASSU is a disgrace in all things, especially bball

You can bet this will be one game the cats will be ready for

Well according to Don McLean, Utah has no glaring deficiencies and we have 1, our outside shooting. Guess we are toast

I think we'll split with Utah, each team winning on their home court.
