Watch this legit 7 foot specimen drive the lane like a 2 guard.
You can tell he got stronger this offseason.

By the way, the Bulls starting lineup is huge...

6’7"
6'6".
6’8".
7’0"
6’9"

Lauri, smooth on the court, saying all the right things off the court:

That's the crazy part. If he'd shot decently from 3, he would have dropped 40 and 17.

Bulls fans were worried because he looked passive and only took spot up jumpers in the preseason.

Looks like they had nothing to worry about.

My son got me Andre's book. He really is an interesting & smart person. The only good thing he has to say about Lute is that he was more fundamentally prepared for the NBA the other rookies that he played with. He thought Lute made he feel like he wasn't very good and wasn't ready for the NBA. If you want to read a book about the black perspective of growing up and making it to the NBA, it's a pretty good book.

"Inner harmony". When one thinks about what a team should have, that's it, that's what TJ offers. Perfect.

Oh, and WE MISS YOU TOO.

Arizona State might have the most surprisingly anemic history in men's basketball of any program that you might think is better than it is.

Fuck the Sixers. If they'd actually used TJ they'd have won a few more playoff series. They'd rather have a PG who can't ball handle or shoot from outside the semi circle.

TJ created 11 assists in 19 minutes tonight. Also scored 6 points on 3-3 shooting.

I have to wonder if there isn’t some way to get him starter minutes without killing your defense.

EP 93 of Roadtrippin with RJ and Luke

https://www.uninterrupted.com/podcasts/ ... ad-trippin" target="_blank

RJ said that Lute's running joke was that they had to keep Walton away from drug testing as he would fail just because of his DNA. He would tell this joke at banquets to thousands of people haha. Also Bill would not let the guys wear shorts in the jacuzzi because the detergent would create too many bubbles lol. Talked a lot about Richard's Dad passing as well.

Always cool when he has former Cats on the show. They talk about being recruited, the official visits, practices, parties, etc. Talked about Arenas destroying Ruben Douglas and literally everyone on the team in practice.

Lauri is another Cat who has fallen out of favor with his current team. Rumblings are in the air that the Bulls might deal him now or cut him after the season.

The truth is that they just have him standing in a corner on offense waiting for a pass that never comes from ball dominant guards. So his shots and rebounds are both down. They never utilize him in pick and roll situations so his height provides zero advantage. And they asked him in the off season to bulk up to bang down low with PFs and Cs but then put him on the perimeter where he’s now a step slower than he was.

I would be willing to bet that with a coach who gave a shit about offense he’d be doing much better.

They picked up his option for next season. Waiving him would prove just how awful the Bulls are being run.
