TJ gets 16 minutes and puts up 7 assists.
Sergio Rodriguez gets 32 minutes and puts up 9 assists.

Headline in the Philly Enquirer is "Sixers still have a PG problem".

Maybe they would like their point guard to score a point, or at least take a shot or two.

Yep. 7 assists to one turnover in 16 minutes of play. Rodriguez played very well too. I think in Philly, they are expecting a big name/elite level PG to match the high draft choices from recent years, a 16 and 8 guy, and they are not happy with quietly serviceable in the interim. I mean Christ, 16 assists to one turnover, over 50% from the floor (I dont think TJ took a shot). And they were tied with the Thunder with about 2 minutes left. Rodriguez didn't run the show well late, but he didnt screw up. I wanted TJ in there, it wasnt like Westbrook wasn't eating up Rodriguez equally as bad. It's Philly though, so what do u expect. They act like they are a title contender RIGHT NOW and the point guard position is the only thing holding them back.

Soloman Hill started. Aaron Gordon started. Rondae started. TJ good minutes off the bench. Stanley 13 minutes off the bench. Stanley has continued to shoot at atrocious levels :(

Spanish Chocolate played pretty well. They have the potential for two top four picks this season. I dont think they'll be lacking guard play next year.

That's what I was thinking. 16 assists and 1 turnover out of your PG position and the press is going to write articles about how that position is a "problem"? Strange...

They are just a different breed out there in Philly. No reasoning, the sky is always falling, no patience, obnoxious, rude, knee-jerk reactors, etc. A dude can be a pro bowler and if he throws three picks against the Cowboys they are ready to kill him and want a new QB. No idea how a large population can be generally so miserable all the time. They are the best fans to troll at sports bars though, just make sure you aren't alone like I was.

Yikes. Stanley's gotta figure things out on the offensive end. 16.7% shooting from the floor through four games. Rondae having a rough start offensively, not much better at 21%.

Matter fact, pretty much all of Miller's kids are stinking up the place from the field.

Stanley: 12.5% FG
TJ: 33%
Rondae: 17%
Solo: 31%
Gordon: 42%, not horrible, but 36% from 3 is great

Pretty good money for D League where most make $25K

The Oklahoma City Thunder guaranteed Tarczewski $75K until Tuesday, January 10, 2017.

DWill finally got some meaningful minutes.
Meanwhile, Williams played 20 minutes against Utah and finished with 11 points on 5-of-8 shooting and four rebounds. He even started the second half at power forward in place of starting power forward Luke Babbitt.

Williams said he worked on “different detail things” while he wasn’t getting playing time, adding that he had more work to do offensively than on the defensive end.

“He’s really been working to try to get better, get in better shape, learn where he can fit in and get comfortable in his role,” Spoelstra said of Williams. “So when he got his opportunity tonight, he looked good. That’s what you want. He brings an athleticism. He brings a little bit of an X-factor and we just felt we needed that plus a lot of things tonight.”

With James Johnson and Williams getting most of the minutes at power forward Saturday, Babbitt played five minutes with the Heat’s starting lineup and never entered the game again.

“I try to bring a spark, bring a different type of energy that we don’t have right now,” Williams said. “Coach was kind of getting guys in and out, trying to bring more energy on the court.”

Also, Rondae had a great game:
Brooklyn Nets forward Rondae Hollis-Jefferson had the game of his life against the Phoenix Suns during a 122-104 win on Saturday, scoring 22 points with 13 rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block in 30 minutes.

Hollis-Jefferson became the youngest Net to score 20 points in a game since Brook Lopez in 2010. His 22 points were a career high and he got to the line 11 times, padding his numbers on Saturday.

Love the fact some former Cats are now coaching, showing smarts and leadership.

Steve and Luke are coaching their butts off at a top level and maybe have the potential of joining Pops at the very top, huh? So proud of those guys.

Second question----who are our next former players to join the coaching ranks?

Solo and and Nick eventually? And an interesting question-------JT? Hair-on-fire winner who'd have instant cred with players?

Brase is in his second year as the head coach for the Rockets D-League affiliate in Rio Grande and Joe Blair is his assistant. Terry will be an NBA assistant when he retires.

I said when he opted out from New York that it was a huge mistake. The triangle was a good fit for him. He needs structure.

I could see him being picked up. He's a low risk asset with a recent history of being a quality role player. But he also may have played his last minute in the NBA.

I'd be curious to see which teams express interest.

Toronto makes some sense. But Utah or Portland could also be options.

I don't see a good team like Warriors or Spurs signing him. Not enough shooting or passing.
