There's nothing that Illinois could have done with that buzzsaw. Although Houston's in the AAC, they play like a Big 12 team. It seems that a lot of Texas teams have the same DNA in their defense whether its Texas Tech, TCU, Baylor and Houston. They're a prime example of what total commitment to defense looks like. We show it in spurts.

Houston can beat Gonzaga. They're smarter and more consistently physical than Memphis, and they know how to play the interior. I don't know how they lost their Quad 1 games, but it seems they're peaking right now.

In a game against them, we would need everyone clicking on all cylinders.

I dont understand how they don't get how forward momentum works. Are you supposed to let go immediately and then do a backflip and land on your feet?

I did too. This game is such a snooze fest. Hope Michigan gives Nova a better game.

Maybe I was just hoping for a Michigan / Ohio St sweet 16 matchup. Oh well.

Playing a 7 or 11 seed to get to the Final 4 sure would've been nice.

Kelvin looks like he thinks reaching the Sweet Sixteen is the ultimate ceiling for his team.

Beat TCU then prove him right.

Yep. If that game happens it's going to go down to the wire. Of course KenPom doesn't properly account for Mark or Sasser injuries (or Kriisa for that matter). I do think that we're a better team than Houston but it's close and we would be playing them 200 miles from their campus

I figured as much. Seemed like he was out of control and about to commit a backcourt violation, and a call would have been a bailout.

Yup. Forced them to make a call.

Like I said in the game thread, if you played soft and finesse, you were not going to get calls.

If you were aggressive and assertive, you'd get calls for you called left and right. For both teams.

The tcu player fell trying to avoid a backcourt. It was an amazing trap and a foul would’ve been horse shit in that situation. Fuck Avery Johnson and the fat boy in purple. Bear down!

3 of their guys had career games, and they beat Kansas with a far inferior game as a team. Please just defensive rebound vs Houston. Do that and get back to our regular offensive flow and we'll be alright
