Peat and Staton would be a phenomenal start to our '25 class. Any insight, Choo?

So one says he’s class of ‘w5 and currently a junior, the other has him in the 2025 NBA draft. Is he considered a reclass lean?

I'm pretty sure Givony is projecting him to reclassify based on NBA potential and nothing more.
We're currently also projecting two juniors in high school -- Canadian player Will Riley and Haitian-American player Joson Sanon -- as potential reclass/one-and-done candidates, should they choose so.

Hard money on Sanon reclassifying, that's been rumored for awhile. Riley, I haven't heard of, but I'm pretty sure he could if he wanted to.

Choo, any read yet on early departures? Are Boswell and/or Lewis expected to test the waters?

I’m just thinking about roster spots the next couple seasons.

Nothing has been decided by anybody at this point in time. I highly doubt Lewis tests the waters with a much larger role coming next season.

I imagine there is no harm in Boswell hiring an agent, and declaring just to get feedback, then returning with no penalty. Unlike the old days.

He has dropped 20(?) spots on Givoney's board since last season, and could move himself back into the lottery next season.

Although I really don't follow the NBA draft and have no idea if next season will have more NBA level PGs coming out or not.

I love KB, but isn’t he still a little green for the NBA? This is where his relative youth could greatly benefit him again. He could log three years of NCAA ball before turning 20. I think one more year of starting for AZ is probably his best path to the pros, but who knows.

Bozwell is the only returning starter so we will have a lot of playing time to spread around. Hopefully these guys stick around to learn more from Tommy before moving on the the NBA or overseas. I think we're seeing once again how leaving early doesn't always work out like planned with Dalen

Re: Let's talk '25

Dalen had about 10 games where he was a decent shooter. He left at the right time as I'm not sure that shooting trend would have continued at the rate it was for those games.

Dalen is guaranteed over 3 mil/per year through next season, so it's hard to blame the guy for leaving early. Bulls can extend the contract through 2025-26, and then he'd be a RFA in the summer of '26.

I think he'll end up being a solid role player in the NBA for a while.

Are you talking about next season? Only one out of eligibility for next season is Johnson due to the free Covid season.

Is it assumed the rest are leaving? Don't imagine Ballo is ready for the NBA. He can't protect the rim and will get knocked down constantly. Larsson maybe so the way he has been playing the 2nd half.

Love looks like an NBA player, but is 51% 2PT 43% FG 36% 3PT this his best season NBA worthy? I have no idea. I have read where Caleb is concerned about his age, which is a valid point.

I was watching a UA podcast and Tommy was talking about Senior Day this Saturday and they are all getting recognized so I assumed they are all gone. Obviously I could be wrong. Have we had a player get recognized twice? I will be so glad when this extra covid year is over.

I'm assuming that Love, Ballo and Larsson are gone. Love is probably going to try for the G League (I don't see him getting drafted), and Larsson may have a slim chance of getting drafted.

Ballo could definitely play pro ball overseas right now if he wants to. I don't think he's fast or athletic enough to play in the NBA. He's also not a very good shooter.

Well we will see and what our NIL can garnish. Just read an article where it stated that USC's quarterback made $10M in his 2 years there.

:o

That's crazy. Probably worth it to keep a guy like that.

I'd love to have Ballo and Larsson back for one more go round. We'd be preseason top 5.

$10,000,000 for a Cotton Bowl loss to Tulane and a Holiday Bowl win over L'ville, and splits with UCLA and Notre Dame.

10 mil sure doesn't buy much anymore.

Not that I doubt it's true about Williams, but NIL contracts are private at every university. Even though USC itself cannot make NIL deals, but since USC is a private school, even coaching salaries are hidden.

Only reason we knew about JDL's NIL was that it was in a court record.

Just saying I wouldn't bet the house on that being true.

Saw some chatter on Twitter than Williams is not getting an agent, and not throwing at the combine. Also that he loves going to the Bears.

Didn't care enough to read beyond the twitter post.

In regards to UA BB NIL, Tubelis' ON3 valuation is over $500K. https://www.on3.com/db/azuolas-tubelis-9085/nil/

He is making $150K-$200K in Lithuania. Which is actually really good for there.

Totally, but compare it to, say, Deandre Ayton. If Ayton had been at AZ during the NIL era, we'd have gone to great lengths to keep him a second season, right? Even though we lost to Buffalo in the NCAA tourney.

Riley talks schools involved

In a recent interview with On3’s Jamie Shaw, Riley discussed several of the schools involved his college recruitment.

Arizona: “I really like the coaches and the program, and I like how they play. They obviously like me and I feel like my play style fits them. They like that I’m a tall guard. They’re positionless there, they let you play wherever you’re most comfortable and they keep the ball moving.”

What he’s looking for in a school

“For me, it is going to come down to which situation I like the most,” he told Shaw previously. “When I go on my visits, I’m going to take in the people that are around me, the culture of the program, the coaches. I’ll look if it fits my play style and all that.

“I’m going to be looking for a team that plays me the way that I play. I don’t want to go somewhere that is going to stick me on the block, because of my height. I’m OK playing in the post a little bit, but I’m at my best with the ball in my hands, playing in ball screens, and creating and shooting.”

Mike Hopkins fired. Is Zoom Diallo now an option? How about a covid year for KEION BROOKS JR.. He could replace Love and is the leading scorer in the PAC.

So tentatively, for next season:

Lewis
Bradley
Boswell
Bryant
Phillips
Stephen
Sanon
Krivas
Anderson
Martinez

That's already 10 names. I don't what to expect with Borovicanin, Veesaar, Murauskas or any of the other reserves.

Taller than Townsend, maybe they can switch on defense.

Kentucky: “Great program, great coaches and I can learn a lot.”

Guess we will have to see on that with Pope now.
