Thank goodness Machina found one guy making our fanbase look like assholes and then boosted him so more people could see that idiocy.

He took a while to commit and made a big deal out of it. That sucks but it is what it is.

I'm thinking he didn't realize what a big splash he made when he committed. ALOT of Arizona fans were stoked. Come to Arizona and be a legend. Go somewhere else and be another one in the crowd.

Maybe he'll reconsider or get homesick after a year.

Approximately zero

I lost track of who you're talking about. If you're talking about older brother, he isn't getting playing time anywhere. If you're talking about younger brother, have you seen this guy? He is a man child and is the 3 best DE recruit in the country and a legitimate 4 to 5 star kid and you think he won't get playing time?

Yes. Seems dumb to decommit because your brother is getting no playing time so he can follow you to Oregon where he’ll get no playing time.

Arizona pulled the scholarship of the lesser Tubelis once Zu left. They can do the same with Cruz.

Keep him PWO.

It's just a game bro. Just let him go and take big brother with him. Not like Oregon will ever schedule Arizona in the future.

UA just can't compete with the big boys for NIL anyway. When JDL's fellow rapist makes over twice what he does as a safety for LSU we are going to have to temper expectations.

Was this directed at me? I can't see because Machina's post is gone. I know my post was extremely anti kiss the poor(rich) young recruits ass, so I tend to think it might be. If you like reading fake fluff and won't call it out for what it is, fantastic.
Machina's post was some alleged UofA fans slamming Rushing for decommitting. That's what Merk was referring to.

Because maybe he will realize that he has hurt his hometown school and will recommit or transfer back in.

So the gist of the story is that the Rushings and all the other families of in state players on our team who don't play feel that their kids should be starting? Who ever guaranteed starting time to anyone?

If any of them are good enough to start, freshman or otherwise, then they start. Otherwise the best players play, nothing controversial about that.

Maybe on top of a good NIL Oregon is gonna promise him a starting position or something, in which case sure his development comment makes sense, if worded poorly. Doesn't really matter though, should have just kept that part to themselves.

I should add as a postscript that I really wish people would just leave them alone, he decommitted and talking a bunch of shit directly or indirectly to the kid and his family is pathetic and does us no favors. All parties can just move on with their lives

Even if Oregon promises him a starring spot, do they really think he will have less competition at Oregon than Arizona?

I would counter that Jedd does more harm than good for his program, his fellow coaches, and himself if he allows the narrative coming from recruiting circles to be that if your goal is to go to the NFL, then Arizona should be crossed off your list.

I have no issues with him defending himself or his program against petty assholes with shitty agendas.

I think what's stupid is regardless of development, scouts will still evaluate based on potential, so if you have the tools you're gonna get drafted anyways. All Jedd has to do is mention hes friendly with half the front offices in the NFL and he can help get your name out there.

When a parent says what he did about development, a key part of why a kid might choose a school, you HAVE to address it in some way otherwise the perception would be that it is true.

The bigger claim to me is that other coaches are saying he doesn’t value AZ kids and are pointing to the roster of guys that are not playing as much.

Should Stevie Rocker be in the rotation? I don’t see that. Deuce Davis is getting snaps (AZ) but Deuce Lane is not (Cal). You have Morgan, Maldonado, Cowing and Stukes who are all from AZ starting. To me this says the best guys play.

Simply being an in state kid should mean you get snaps. It seems some of these parents think you should. Funny how we are just getting good and the negative recruiting is showing up as where once before out of state schools had no issue getting kids away from AZ. Now it’s tougher

Yeah, it really is nonsense.

Gunner is from Arizona, and Nansen has stuck with him even with everyone wanting him pulled (he has played really well last few games). G. Smith is also positioned to lead Safeties multiple years. Brown has snaps at LB as a true freshman. D. Williams has the ability to be 2nd string QB and heir to N. Fifita. Stovall is 2nd string Center and heir apparent.

I mean, good for the kid. Make bank and go to a good team but learn how to communicate to the public. This is 2023, not 1955
