The only thing I learned about from that article is that Nate Silver doesn't watch a lot of college football.
He should stick to elections.
Could spend hours debunking his methodology, but instead I'll direct you all to the comments section.
Huge selection bias in selection for those who searched for "college football" in each television market. I've never searched "college football" and highly doubt other college fans have as well.

It has some flaws. For instance, Google traffic? Maybe Alabama fans are just so dumb they need to Google "college football" to find ESPN.com. It threw me that it was from 2011, especially when it launched into the pac's potential acquisition of Texas.
