With RichRod itching to coach again, can't imagine Rhett staying on along with the other scrubs.

Spears said yesterday Lane is expected to return:

If Tate stays, the Arizona quarterback room will be full, considering current freshmen Jamarye Joiner and Kevin Doyle return, plus Rhett Rodriguez and K’Hari Lane are also expected to be back at the UA in 2019. No shortage of quarterbacks in Tucson, at least for next season.

Corrected. Keep in mind I'm just pulling these of the rooster from the last game.

Rich has said he wouldn't mind if Rhett followed him wherever he ended up. Not that Rhett is SEC good either but someone needs to hold the clipboard.

So, we’ll have a scholarship opening up?

He can grad transfer then and we can bring in Jalen Hurts

I would think he should have known that he could graduate by the summer a month ago when he said he was coming back.

I've never been a huge Hurts fan and largely thought being on Alabama made him look better than he was. Maybe it is just my general bias hate toward Alabama. Although, he does seem to be a good character guy. Anyway, it would be dumb for him to come here if Tate was still on the roster. He will go where he is guaranteed to start.

Every Bama QB looks better there than they really are.

Why in the world would Hurts transfer here though? The big knock on him compared to Tua was that he was nowhere near the passer Tua is. We just had a season of Mazzone and a runner at QB. What makes Hurts think we are a good landing spot? And more so, what makes Sumlin/Mazzone think Hurts is the answer?

I'd go Tate (willing to run) > Hurts >>>>>>>> Tate (refusing to run)

Which would currently make Hurts a much better option for us.

Yeah I'm not really questioning our thought of Hurts vs Tate. More so from Hurts' perspective. And wondering how Doyle/Gunnell fit into this. But mostly from Hurts' side

Let’s see, graduate, go play for RR and play in the SEC and prove yourself in arguably the best conference in the land in your audition for the NFL. Not a bad plan

I am pretty down with this. Give Tate the first game to show he is willing runner and if he can bench his ass and roll with younger QBs. Joiner should move to receiver he may transfer out anyway

Looking on twitter, not sure how the Cats can beat out tOSU for him. UA certainly can't guarantee he will start with Tate coming back.

12 degrees there right now, but probably a good choice. They have an outstanding sports program and no AZ CCs left to play football. The UA basketball program picked up Kadeem Allen from there.

If Tate and Mazzone are on the same page in a good way he could have a great year.

Tate just needs to decide that he is more Cam Newton than Tom Brady, and that Mazzone is the one calling the plays.
