I'm glad Brennan has kept the guys he has but not seeing this staff pulling any new transfers/recruits. Hoping they get after it soon. If you can't recruit, you can't have success. It's as simple as that.

I hate to agree with the captain but this time I have to. If you look at this honestly Brennan fucked SJSU. He took their best running back and a couple of other players. Rather than getting worked up with the previouus coach, get worked up with the NCAA and get them to put a governor on this transfer portal thing. A governor on the NIL thing wouldn't be a bad idea either. Obvious is correct its just a new coach doing his job.

Yeah. Lost Edwards, Coleman, and Wiley and replaced them with two transfers who seem to be kinda like Wiley and Edwards, and two young recruits who will probably need a little time. I know Speedy will get a bigger role, but seems like we need a replacement for Coleman.

It's good news, even if the stealth recruiting part seems a bit weird. It may just be that they don't have their process fully worked out or some other unique situation, or we may just not see dancing sahuaros as part of announcements anymore. In any event, I think we're pretty close to having the crew we're sailing with on board now. It may or may not be quite up to last year's roster, but I think we've dodged some bullets and we shouldn't need to take three steps backward in order to take two steps forward. Just keep plugging away, guys.

Yeah, I saw those. Strange environment we're in right now. Seems like 90 percent of the time when somebody goes into the portal, they're gone. And, unless it's moving to a lesser school for playing time, it's viewed as quitting on the team, rather than "exploring your options." I suppose this may be a little like when Lute let a good player "test the waters" with NBA experts on likely draft status, which usually worked out in Lute's favor. Davis is good and in a position of need for us, so Brennan may be giving him more latitude in an unusual coaching change situation while NIL negotiations also no doubt continue.
