Nice!!!!

That’s some good shit.

Could cost Fisch his job down the line.

Could cost the UW AD his job down the line.

We’ll see how it plays out.

Hopefully Jonah has a lot of success at Washington…

Happy for Jonah, hope he does well

Edit: I should also add I appreciate he did it later so it didn't conflict with the guys announcing they were staying.

If a QB lists at 5'9" he is probably more like 5'7". Good luck trying to pass over the B1G big uglies.

I think they’d be in their rights to be pissed if we raid their team. Doesn’t seem like we’ll have a ton of spots available though (unlike UW who has to replace 20+ players).

If any SJSU fans complain, they can take it up with Alabama and Dead Fisch.

I would hope that we don't take many players from SJSU. They are the players that DIDN'T have offers from a P5 school. We need to reel in some high 3 and 4 star transfers. Otherwise we will end up with OKGs

SJSU only averages about 16,000 attendees per game. Not that many people to get pissed.

Besides, the University of Arizona can't contact any other teams' players until they put their name into the portal. However, players can contact other teams at any time.

So if a player does transfer from SJSU to UA, it is all on the player.

I can't keep up with all the NIL rules either, but NIL Collectives cannot contact non-transfer portal players either.

That's why the stories regarding Alabama contacting Fifita and T-Mac seem really odd since that is tampering, unless they contacted Alabama first.

There are probably ways around that, like contacting close friends and family, but not the recruit.

Scheer mentioned DL Tre Smith as a possible transfer from SJSU. 66 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, and 6.5 sacks this season. He's from Mesa and his position coach is now at UA.

Our interior DL depth has now been decimated.

We lost Manoa and Sio Noa (can't spell or prounounce the rest) to graduation and Kongaika defected to the Sun Gerbils.

With Savea gone we are now down 4 DL bodies. We have signed only 1 player capable of playing immediately (Chubba Mae).

Time for the UA to hit the transfer portal for bodies

I read that SJSU has a really good DL that hit the transfer portal as soon as his coach defected to us. Maybe he'll come over.

D-Line depth is a legitimate concern. I've got Bill Norton (6-6 325), Chubba Maae (6-2 345), Isaiah Johnson (6-1 300), Taitai Uigalelei (6-4 285), and Keanu Mailoto (6-4 275). We also have Isaiah Ward, Sterling Lane, and Russell Davis as tall edge rushers in the 210 to 220 lb range. There's freshman Kaho Tuihalamaka (6-4 330), but I wouldn't want to count on a true freshman in the trench wars. We seem to have a number of edge rusher types, and there a lot of it seems to come down to weeding through trying to find the necessary speed and desire. But in the interior line, you need mass and depth to keep them fresh, which we had to an unusual extent for an Arizona team this past season, with pretty positive results. Hard to get, though.

My worry is quarterback depth. We have Two......yea only two scholarship QBs and we're basically one really hard sack away from being in deep trouble.

Yeah, also sadly true. I'm assuming Brayden Dorman's the backup. Is Cole Tannenbaum not on scholarship? Regardless, as good as Noah is, he's small and wears a target. He's compact and seems to protect himself fairly well, but if somebody really wants to go helmet-to-helmet, body slam, or if he just gets involved in an awkward situation and gets hurt, there's zero experience from here or anywhere else.

Cole Tannenbaum is the only other QB shows up on the roster. I don't know what happened to Dorman.

If both Prysock/Davis leave our secondary will be as decimated as the DL.

Yes. Need an all out effort to retain Davis and Prysock.
