The comment was something about how the previous coach got on him for bad plays whereas the new coach encourages him when he does something well.

I saw that and wondered what he as doing.
Thought the same thing, but he was tossing the ball to the ref, and the player was just in the way. Kriisa apologized to the Duck player.

At least from someone who was there and saw it that way.

I saw it that way on TV too. He raised his hand to tell the duck player it was an accident. “My bad” kind of gesture. He tried to throw it around the player and put spin on it but didn’t throw it far enough to the side and accidentally hit the player.

Surprised Bilas didn’t start talking about how it should have been a foul on Kerr, since that’s what the fans love according to him; the sweet sound of a referee’s whistle changing the game.
did you hear him say something to the effect (perhaps you can help with this??) that Bilas was digging and asked the players why the team was playing so great and they said it was because the coaches love the players instead of yelling at them (Koloko specifically??) and therefore they are playing better??? maybe im having a pre-senior moment and that didnt happen but i swear to god it came from the Bilas mouth itself...end of first half i believe.
I didn't hear the "yelling" part (but maybe I'm having a senior moment) but I did hear something around having more freedom of movement on offense under CTL. Mathurin also said during that Bilas walk that the "new difference" was around trust.
It was a comment about how Koloko doesn't get yelled at and felt discouraged when he made a mistake like before.

People need to stop getting upset when a media type repeats what the player themselves said to them and think it's a dig at Miller.

Perfect example is Mathurin saying similar things here to Bilas like you said.

So one thing I think he does that is predictable and concerning is after he hits a shot he immediately comes down and takes a quick outside "heat check". Does this all the time.

I miss that little floater. Where the fuck did that go?

I would like to see him practice that more - like 1-2 times a game - before the Tourney where btw we might really need it.

He had an interview with Goodman after the Illinois win where he said Lloyd told him he needed to add something to his shot package.

Lloyd told him to add the floater and he worked on that floater all summer. I don't know why he went away from it, probably fell in love with heat check 3s.

Anyone else see him engage some fans after the buzzer went off? He ran behind the basket to the first row and was telling them to come down to the court. A guy in red didn't seem to appreciate it and was pointing back at the court. Not sure if he knew them or was talking trash haha

i agree! Kriisa is so un-bashfully delightful and irritating at the same time, but he doesnt know it cause hes just a tad new to this country - raw and real.

its beautiful cause the last 8ish plus hes been really good. even tho Lloyd still sent him to the pine twice in the second half, even after seven three pointers.

You're actually wrong for once. He knows he's annoying and he likes pissing off the opposing fans.

Love Kriisa. Also love that we’re not entirely reliant on him to win games. We’ve won plenty of times this year, when he wasn’t playing well. But man, when he does…who can stop us?

Kerr is the kind of player you love when he's on your team. But absolutely despise when he's on the other team. UW's Isaiah Thomas was like this, and still haven't gotten over the buzzer beater in the PAC-12 Tournament. For those of us a little older, Don MacLean when he played for UCLA was the same.

Back to Kerr. he scored 21 on 8 shots in the first half, with 2 assists. Didn't take a single shot until late in the 2nd half, and had 8 assists before he took a single shot. Very impressive and unselfish. Which is one of the best qualities of this team. Another 20+ assist game last night.

It's funny because I believe his first shot was that little floater in the lane - which I've been wanting him to take more - and he missed it. I was thinking "oh it's going to be one of those nights" but boy was I thankfully wrong.

Oh 100% he does. And he’d call a timeout with 8 seconds left to make sure we got up another shot attempt and fuck everyone who has a problem with it.

These guys have been taught to be incredibly unselfish this year... and EVERYONE has bought into it.

For Tommy to put Kerr back in to get that final rebound.... it's just going to bring this team that much closer. (IMO)

Not blaming the losses on Kerr, the whole team has sucked, but still an interesting stat.
