Wow. Miller being Miller. Undeterred by administrative lunacy, he just keeps on getting things done. Love him.

I have my criticisms of Miller but this is ridiculous. Just terrible for the program and to Miller. I hate Robbins.UofAlum05 wrote: Tue Apr 06, 2021 3:19 pm Even if you hate Miller it is impossible to argue that this is filthy. Just dirty.
Strong possibility tomorrow. Lloyd isn't a totally sure thing either.
Before anyone freaks out... many times these things are purposely leaked for various reasons.
You kinda have to elaborate.UofAlum05 wrote: Tue Apr 06, 2021 3:11 pm I just got a text that made my stomach sink. Say goodbye to next year's team.
I was joking about this earlier!Alieberman wrote: Tue Apr 06, 2021 1:40 pm Miller signs a top transfer today, gets fired tomorrow?
Sounds about right
I agree with you. I believe the terms were worked out at year end and it will be announced soon.EastCoastCat wrote: Tue Apr 06, 2021 4:00 pm I’m 100% confident Miller will be re-signed. Everyone step away from the ledge.

Its Robbins you should be emailing. But it won't matter.TheCat wrote: Tue Apr 06, 2021 4:11 pm Here is Dave H email address. uofaad@arizona.edu
Maybe he needs to hear from more than just me.
The dude is just wired to keep working until the final day.BBQ wildcat wrote: Tue Apr 06, 2021 4:13 pm I just find it hard to believe that Miller would continue working so hard on bringing in recruits and building the team for the future if he had any inkling he was about to be fired. I mean, he would HAVE to know, wouldn't he?

Oh, well, if it's a disorder then he can't be blamed. Isn't that how it works?UofAlum05 wrote: Tue Apr 06, 2021 4:18 pm Narcissistic Personality Disorder: A mental condition in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for excessive attention and admiration, troubled relationships, and a lack of empathy for others.
No, personality disorders are not able to used in legal defense. My wife is a Psychiatrist who gets Mentally ill out of jails and she doesn't allow one person suffering from a personality disorder to qualify for any of her programs.mofo wrote: Tue Apr 06, 2021 4:27 pmOh, well, if it's a disorder then he can't be blamed. I think what makes this especially sad -- for me at least -- is seeing how some of my favorite posters here are taking this, even just anticipating it. If people actually stop following the team over this, it feels like part of AZ hoops is dying.Spaceman Spiff wrote: Tue Apr 06, 2021 4:34 pmThis is so depressing. I'm seriously out if this is true.
my big fear is that Robbins fires Miller without securing Lloyd, he turns us down, and we end up hiring some like Jamie Dixon-esque re-tread after a search process...feels likely to me tbh with the way this is headedUofAlum05 wrote: Tue Apr 06, 2021 4:12 pmIts Robbins you should be emailing. I will never stop watching either but this just doesn't feel right. Thinking of these kids, excited to come back for Year 2, who sacrificed a lot this past season, and watching them be tossed aside just makes me feel sick.azgreg wrote: Tue Apr 06, 2021 4:45 pm This is a dark time for Arizona basketball but I'll never stop watching and cheering on my Cats.

Same here, will never stop. However, my expectations of the basketball program will be like the football program. Never a contender and turn the game off when it gets out of hand.azgreg wrote: Tue Apr 06, 2021 4:45 pm This is a dark time for Arizona basketball but I'll never stop watching and cheering on my Cats.
Cattracks! I actually have seen Brad Allis posting more on Facebook than he usually does, whatever that means.ekat wrote: Tue Apr 06, 2021 4:54 pm I know you’re not addressing this to me because I never post, even though I’ve been following all you guys since CatTracks.
Apparently Robbins issues aren't related to the FBI/NOA stuff at all. Its that he feels Arizona should have been better this past season and that he likes to have people he hired in major spots throughout the University.CatFanOneMil wrote: Tue Apr 06, 2021 4:58 pm First of all for Robbins to fire Miller BEFORE the IARP has made any kind of ruling would probably violate legal counsels advice and at this point NO ONE KNOWS what the independent committee will do. No.One.
It's possible that Robbins might have some inkling, but we also have to remember that he and Dave Heeke were both also mentioned in the NCAA complaint...and in this case he is sorta a "co-defendant" WITH Miller...to throw him under the bus without actual legal authority would be to invite the complete destruction of the athletic department as we know it...Miller could sue the crap out of him.
So one of a handful of things are true:
1. Bunch of typical rumors, we've had them before we get them every year, they always get forgotten...no one remembers when ESPN announced Miller had been fired??????
2. Miller cheated and needs to be terminated.
3. Robbins is an idiot and trigger happy and MIGHT do it against counsel, but probably not.
4. A mix of all of the above.
So he thinks we should've been better but pulled the plug on the season by not letting us have a postseason? That make sense to anyone?UofAlum05 wrote: Tue Apr 06, 2021 5:05 pmApparently Robbins issues aren't related to the FBI/NOA stuff at all.
