They took Alijah out of the induced coma because he showed “significant signs of progress”.

I'm in LA and they covered this on the local news including pictures of the car. They said that Arenas was outside the car when they got there (didn't say if he was thrown or not) but from the picture of the car damage that looked unlikely he was thrown. Said the induced coma was two fold. 1. For precaution and 2. They had him on a ventilator for a period of time and those are extremely uncomfortable so putting you in a coma allows you to tolerate that better. They say he is responding to questions and writing answers this morning. Not sure how much of this is true but it is what is being reported.

Update on Arenas:

Happy to announce that Alijah is doing much better. Just got off the phone with Gil about five minutes ago. Alijah's doing better, walking, talking, progressing very well. He should be released from the hospital very soon. No major injuries as a result of the car accident."
