Just realized that Miller lost FIVE assistant coaches over his nine years to head coaching opportunities (Archie, Pasternack, Whitford, Damon, Romar). 1) That's incredible that Arizona (and Miller) is looked at as a source for great coaching talent. 2) Holy shit what a pain in the ass to replace all those guys over and over again.

So I appreciate Miller's note that he's happy to have two new guys who are young and as Miller says "loyal." He's expecting these guys to stick with him through this run of his career at Arizona, which may prove to be his stretch run.

Also great to have young guys who have been college athletes (and Gainey at a high level in the ACC) who can relate to these guys and get through to them more than SEAN MILLER THE SCREAMING SWEATING MILLIONAIRE MONSTER.

Miller commenting at the 13:00m mark regarding Villanova recruiting and how going after a big recruiting class can sometimes translate to failure. So they made changes that made them "built to win, built to last." Then he relates it to what he's doing at Arizona.

Anyone hear about Big 12 trying to poach USC and Oregon?
The basketball PA guy was talking about it on his show today but I just caught a few seconds of it.

The radio/PA guy made it sound like Big 12 had talked to those schools and it was a possibility.
Hopefully it’s just a power play to oust Scott.

I've heard that they are talkinkg 4 teams maybe even looking at 6. Apparently they like the big 10 model and think that the 16 team super conf is the way of the future.

I heard a lot of teams bandied about. Usc and Oregon were the main ones but also UCLA, the Arizona schools, Washington.

Tommy Boy suffers from the same language idiosyncrasy that I do…

Using “you know” as a placeholder while he thinks of what to say.

Other people say “uhh”, but he’s obviously been trained to understand that saying “uhh” makes you sound unintelligent. Unfortunately, “you know” isn’t much better.

It’s something I struggle with a lot. I once counted 20 times I said “you know” during the first part of a presentation and was so flustered by my inability to not say it that I totally bombed the second half.

Unfortunately my other placeholder is “fucking”.

As in, “So I wasn’t putting the fucking… cover on my fucking… TPS reports and the fucking… management team was not fucking happy.”

Maybe I’ll try and stick with “you know”.

I love everything about Kerr. Reminds me so much of TJ, just in a euro body with more of a bad ass attitude.
