3* wing, Chris Smith, commits to UCLA. He was a 4* in the C/O 2018, but went back to his original class.

Still, think of the kids!!!
And, then we get guys in speedos prancing around as part of the curtain of distraction. Now that is obnoxious.

This team should do damage in the NCAA's, but I can't see them winning 3 games in three days in the P12T.

He's a streaky volume shooter. I don't expect him to go 4-21 across every three game stretch and I don't expect him to go 4-7 over every two game stretch.
What I do expect is for him to come in as a low 30% three point shooter, just like his historical average. He went 3-4 against Pacific and now he's a good shooter? C'mon man.
Season isn't over yet, but he's shooting 41.4% from 3. Not sure what that tells us at this point.

You won't need him for this weekend or really even next. Get him healthy for your FF run

Schlling said Leaf was playing at about 70% today. He didn't have much lift. No word on Lonzo. Aaron Holiday might have been the worst player on the court. Hands better be pretty good because Holiday can't run the team next year.
Really hoping we get a Friday game just to have a week to recover as much as possible, though the team we play shouldn't be much of a factor.

-----------------------
"That was 30 years ago," Alford said during a news conference at Golden 1 Center, where his third-seeded Bruins will play No. 14 seed Kent State on Friday night. "I was part of that. I stood on stage with a great group of guys and won a national championship. It's my home state. I played there. So obviously all that comes up.
"But I love UCLA. I love Los Angeles. You're talking about arguably the greatest brand anywhere on the planet. We've got things going at a very high level now, and we're very excited about it. And we're excited about being in this tournament and seeing what we can do."
Alford, who also has coached at Missouri State, Iowa and New Mexico, said it hasn't been his goal to coach Indiana one day.
"That's never been something I look at, whether it be that job or other jobs," he said. "My journey has taken me to places I had no idea [I'd be]. I've fallen in love with every spot."
Asked if he would entertain a call from Indiana at some point, Alford declined to comment.
"I don't want that to be what this is about," he said. "This is about us, and this is about what this group of guys is doing, and that's where my focus is."

You know what that last line could say?
"I have no interest in that job. I love UCLA and don't want to be anywhere else."
But it doesn't say anything even remotely like that, does it?

Ugh. So I was looking to make a play in Vegas for some $$$. Threw a nice chunk of change at UCLA -11 for the first half. They are up by like 18 with 5 minutes left to go. Then they stop rebounding and let Kent State rain 3's (not surprising). End up losing. I understand back the PAC, but I would not shed a tear if UCLA got bounced in their next game. Come to think of it, I am hoping that happens.

I think it's far from a given that they win, especially with Ike, Lonzo, and Leaf all banged up.
Reading their board, their fans think that a) The PG play is a wash, b) If they can force Leaf to play inside, that's were he's least dangerous and c) They have more tournament experience

I don't know much about Cinci, just that they have a coach and a program that likes to play tough and doesn't mind getting their hands dirty. The PG position is anything but a wash...
I have ucla advancing in my bracket, but that late game on Sunday coupled with a scrappy team and coach and versus Alford at the helm of a potent ucla offense that when struggling doesn't have a leg defensively to stand on...oh boy.

If I were a UCLA fan, my concern would be how hard Lonzo will play with Lavar in his ear about moving on and focusing on the Association.
I'm not a UCLA fan, so I'm not worried about them at all.
