Any ideas? Certainly been some turnover around the country.chiefzona wrote:ChooChooCat wrote:Who's the replacement? Parker?chiefzona wrote:Michalczik to Oregon State
He’s an option. He has no D1 coaching experience. I’d go out and get someone else who can coach, recruit, and teach zone blocking.

A change of residence from the Lusitania to the Titanic. Not a bright move ... unless he's not really as good as advertised.chiefzona wrote:MrMeow wrote:That's a strange move. Reasons?chiefzona wrote:Michalczik to Oregon State
He got the Head assistant (2nd in charge title) plus the run game coordinator. He was losing almost all of his o-line and he knows that RR’s time is borrowed. He is good friends with Smith.
I don't blame him at all. Got a more important job that he was never getting here as long as Smith and Magee are here, assuming more money, got a brand new fresh start with a first year coach that should be guaranteed 3 years, job uncertainty next year, and has connections to Oregon State and Smith. Makes sense to me.chiefzona wrote:MrMeow wrote:That's a strange move. Reasons?chiefzona wrote:Michalczik to Oregon State

So why keep everyone hope up that Coach M knows that 2018 season is it for RR? Why keep beating the same drum when RR is just going to keep proving you wrong every step of the way? Good for Coach M on upgraded his coaching title of Associate HC and Run Game Coordinator. But what does that got to do with RR jobs status? I heard that Glenn Park a former NFL and Arizona O-linemen is going to replace Coach M as Offense line coach?chiefzona wrote:MrMeow wrote:That's a strange move. Nightmares about the new coach coming in for UO and poaching more recruits.... although I don't know if there are many/if any I would be actually upset about losing.dmjcat wrote:Time for poaching RRod

Maybe we could swap a 4 star or two for a couple of our 3 Star MWC level sub 6 foot receivers with 4.9 forty speed.
Looks good to me. Do you think with RR'S tenure and future outlook, he's realistic? Some decent recruiting experience and lots of coaching experience as well.chiefzona wrote:ramcat wrote:Any ideas? RR always looks for the easy hire. He would be it.

Hopefully, they can get him in for a look.

i would tend to agree but they have already had quite a few decommits in the past 24 hours. The Oregon AD needs to tie down a new coach ASAP before too many commits get picked off by other schools.ChooChooCat wrote:My guess is Oregon hires Sumlin and he's more than capable of keeping that class together for the most part.

If you would have looked deeper you would have also noticed he played one year for Sacramento State, and then a year at a JC. Sounds like he'll have two years to play.dmjcat wrote:His offer list includes Coastal Carolina, Massachusetts and Florida Atlanticwhatisee wrote: 6’5 315 or so

I think you may have noticed we need help with size on the D line which is exactly what this kid brings. We have a couple slots left so the coaches must think he can contribute
And Mr Cryptic, what would that be? Athleticism, length, physicality, coaching, scheme?chiefzona wrote:whatisee wrote:If you would have looked deeper you would have also noticed he played one year for Sacramento State, and then a year at a JC. Arizona needs much more than just size on the DL.
Yes. Plus, technique, skill, Weight training, rip techs, gap responsibilities, edge responsibility, competent DL coach.....have I nailed all the pertinent facts?azcat49 wrote:And Mr Cryptic, what would that be? How many DL have you seen taking passing lanes away with hands up. RIP moves? Swim? No. They're busy getting manhandled and blown off of the line. Terrible weight training, recruiting, and techniques. I couldn't stand Kirelavich and neither could the players. How many NFL players did he have?
A position we currently seem to be loaded at. Sucks when things like this happens, but we'll see what happens when the dust settles.chiefzona wrote:I just got word that Arizona is not honoring Armani Adams’ commitment. Sour grapes from his camp. They are trashing Rich Rod in Florida. This tends to happen but I’ve noticed RR has been more adept at this of late. Might be some shuffling for oncoming or silent commits plus rethinking on some player evals. Stay tuned.
Interesting. Well i guess it's better getting trashed 2,500 miles away in Florida versus California, right?chiefzona wrote:I just got word that Arizona is not honoring Armani Adams’ commitment. #Arizona DB commit Armani Adams locks in first official visit, and plans on visiting two additional schools as well.
So it looks like Armani expected UA to honor his commitment while he continued to look around. Don't you just love recruiting!

He has mentioned it before. The quote was something along the lines of there is a difference between Sally Walker and Herschel Walker. I think this happened with Tommy Woodson way back when too.chiefzona wrote:Woodcat wrote:Armani committed to UA on 06/05/2017. Here is a retweet from Armani on 11/17/2017:

RR hasn't done that in awhile. The last one that I can remember was Nate Dogg's son. There are other recruits who have committed and visited other schools and told staff that and it was granted. I don't know Armani's situation specifically but I'm sure I'll hear about it soon. It's bad business as word gets around. Where's Dudek to tell us all that Arizona is only looking for OKGs?
Yelling? How was I yelling? ....oh the explanation point.... It's only "yelling" when you use more than one.whatisee wrote:Why you yellin' bro?MountainCat wrote:His commitment is already to Nebraska and Coach Frost!whatisee wrote:Adrian Martinez decommits from Tennessee.
