Pac-12 Coaches In The Movies
Now that we're exclusively in conference play until the NCAAs, this occurred to me the other day. Based on their appearance and behavior, here's a stab at casting the league's coaches in a detective/murder mystery film:
Tommy Lloyd: He's the tough, but funny partner of the film's star, a hard-bitten police detective.
Tad Boyle: The captain they report to who continually bawls them out for not following protocol and damaging the department's cars.
Jerod Haase: Jewelry store owner, and a prime suspect in the murder of his wife.
Charli Turner Thorne: Brief cameo as the deceased wife on a table in the morgue staring at the ceiling.
Dana Altman: Guy she was having an affair with (also a prime suspect.)
Wayne Tinkle: Bouncer at the nightclub of the mob boss.
Andy Enfield: The mob boss.
Mick Cronin: The weasel informant. Says "my precious" a lot.
Bobby Hurley: Tweaker/dealer who lurks in dark doorways and gets loud, red-faced, and overly-animated when questioned.
Mike Hopkins, Kyle Smith, Craig Smith, and Mark Fox don't seem to have well-developed characters at this point, so they're just extras walking around in the crowd on the wet sidewalk at night in the city.
(Sorry; I just saw Glass Onion. Happy New Year, anyway...)

Good stuff!
Anyone remember what mainstream movie Lute Olson was in? No looking it up.

Hoop Dreams?
Re: Pac-12 Coaches In The Movies
Mark Fox has to be the sweaty Mob accountant in a Sean Miller Wichita State shirt that hands over the books to the FBI after being threatened by agents Smith and Smith. Lead agent Hopkins pumps his fist and blurts out an exuberant "we nailed them" from behind the 1 way mirror.
We see Bobby Hurley in the background frothing inside a Prison Cell as the agents Smith walk to meet with old school Mob Enforcer Wayne Tinkle. With buldging pupils, sores all over his face, and rotted front teeth Hurley screams "I will fucking eat you" while shaking the bars like a rabid ferret.

A classic for the ages. Gabe Kaplan with his first Oscar nomination, and of course the win for Best Original Score.
