I love playing Duke semi-regularly now that Coach K is gone.

Tommy's view on scheduling is very different than most coaches. Doesn't mind a L if there is growth. I expect a difficult OOC every year even in the new conference.

Read somewhere that JG wasn't happy with the current situation on the bench that he was passed over.

Have to think Robinson might be close to retirement so maybe that is Gardners chance to be elevated. We definitely need a lead dog recruiter IMO

Don’t know if I’m reading anything into this but I never seem to see JG looking very energetic or engaged on the sidelines compared to all the other assistant coaches

Not sure how much he is allowed to coach. I think the NCAA Has some quirky rules about his position on staff

This is correct. He’s not allowed to coach in game. So that’s why we don’t see him talk.

What is his position? I thought he was a typical assistant coach

He’s Player Relations Director I believe, so not a full assistant.

You guys are really missing the best part of that article.
From Branch on his visit to ASU: "It was a really fun visit. I brought my mom and little brother and we got to watch a game. I wanted to meet Coach after the game but he was screaming and being very passionate after their loss. I liked that because it shows he really cares."
