Reputation System

We are currently in the testing phase of the new reputation up/down voting system. Play around with it over the next few days. If everything goes smoothly I will be resetting the rep and starting clean on Monday. If anyone has issues or questions let's try to keep them contained in this thread so all can easily refer to them. We'll be making tweaks as we go.

To see your rep stats you need to look under 'user statistics' on YOUR user user profile page.

I believe only admins and mods can up/down vote in the Board Announcements area. See if you can see the icons in Basketball or General.

Hmm dunno. Might not be a caching issue. I cleared cache and cookies, closed out, logged back in and checked a few threads...still no thumbs up or down.

I see 84Cat has a rep score of 7, Hater 2, Scum 1

I see a bubble next to the Report This Post bubble in the upper right of each post but when I click on it, it says There are no Reputation points. That bubble turns green if it has points

Hmm, I've now tested the rep system on Edge, Firefox, Safari, Chrome on my 2 PCs, my iPad, and my Google Pixel running Firefox and have yet to produce an environment where the up/down like buttons are NOT visible. Will keep trying to tweak, but this is an app that has zero support, so we shall see.

Yea it seems like it could be mods. Maybe you could just temporarily make someone a mod to test if it shows up for them?

I had to manually set the user permissions for each forum and subforum. The global 'enable rep' evidently is not very global. Lol

Monday at 12am I will reset all rep to zero and we'll start fresh. Hopefully there aren't further issues.

The threshold for giving negative rep got lowered to 75. So I’ve actually had the power for a while now.
