Any word on his hand/wrist? I saw it wrapped up with ice after he left the game.

Maybe explains his shooting slump.

In the 9 games since, Kriisa is 18/67 for 26.8%

Tough injury for any guard. Have to wonder if any team has won a natty with a lead guard shooting mid 30% for the season

Tommy clarified its not a wrist injury, its his left thumb and he's fine. Thumb wrestling match got out of hand before the Utah game he missed?

So tonight's free floating anxiety is the Oregon press and how Kerr is able to handle it. I honestly think this comes down to the wire but that might just be me with flashbacks. Oregon played like shit at ASU and will not shoot or play that bad tonight. They can still make the tourney if they beat Ariz, USC and UCLA. That would give them a sweep against the top three teams in the league. I'm worry about tonight and that we have more of those unmentioned stats then we have had in our two previous games.

I know Kerr would say that I should haul my fat ass out there and run the team on gameday, but that last turnover was bad. He had literally one job there.

The three right before it? Incredible.
The turnover? He’s better than that.

The worst thing about Kriisa getting the ball stolen was that Terry had the ball, and Kriisa ran into him to get it.

Then you freakin' lose it on a lazy dribble?

If you want the ball in crunch time, that's fantastic, just take care of it.

its a love hate thing for me at this point, he does both end of the spectrum equally - nail a thirty footer off a broken play, shot clock running down, tie game under a minute fifteen left, let-it-fly-ho-hum nothing to it bulls-eye!!! ....to looking at the fans up three with 45 seconds left wondering if mom saw what you did last play (hi mom!) opps i dun messed up....

im hoping as he matures he levels this out a bit and becomes more consistent - i believe he will.

cause when hes good hes spectacular and clutch AF!! and when hes shitty, well, hes realy, really really shitty.

The clutch deep three followed up by getting ripped is the perfect encapsulation of the Kriisa experience. That said, I think as he matures we will get much more good than bad.

That sequence encapsulates Kriisa to a tee. He needs to be more consistent without a doubt but boy does that kid have balls (big) and I love, and I think his teammates love as well, the emotion he brings to the team.

Plus who doesn’t love the fact that he threw his tape at Bilas as a subtle fuck you ESPN.

Said this a while back, but Kriisa needs to watch video of Miles. They're about the same size, both with a flair for the dramatic. If Kriisa could develop a floater and a better head fake in the lane, imagine the possibilities.

To become CBBs villain, he needs to become at minimum Aaron craft good

I think in a close game in the tournament, Kerr is going to want to take the shot and is going to take whereas I don't really see Mathurin chasing that shot.

And as we saw yesterday, he's either going to hit a big shot or give it up

We're fortunate that when he launches these long threes, we've got so much size on the court that it's likely we either get an offensive board or at least get a hand on it and create a loose ball. Having CK, AT, OB and DT on the court is always gonna give us more chances at second shots and additional possessions.

Comparing play styles is not making a choice.

Everyone can see it with an eye test the stark difference in how they played individually and collectively last year vs this year.

Pointing that out isn't inherently bad

In the moment I thought it was because he hit that big shot and he was kind of saying “even with this bum wrist, so fuck this wrist wrap” but it’s his left hand that was wrapped so maybe it really was a fuck you to Bilas.

Surprised Bilas didn’t start talking about how it should have been a foul on Kerr, since that’s what the fans love according to him; the sweet sound of a referee’s whistle changing the game.

Kerr Kriisa didn't even know what College GameDay was until this week, I doubt he knows anything as it relates to Bilas/Miller/Schlabach/ESPN

But we can dream I guess, it was probably something mundane like "that was for the cameras" or something

I personally think it's a similar dynamic when MJ played vs Drexler while magic was calling the game broadcast and MJ kept looking at Magic when he kept hit a 3, I bet it's something closer to that.

Someone said on FB that Kriisa was on Bilas' show one time, and Bilas asked Kriisa for his headband. Kriisa said he would give him something, and that's what it was.

Have no idea if it's true or not, but Kriisa was a Miller recruit and almost left the program due to the ESPN attack on Miller which eventually got him fired.

did you hear him say something to the effect (perhaps you can help with this??) that Bilas was digging and asked the players why the team was playing so great and they said it was because the coaches love the players instead of yelling at them (Koloko specifically??) and therefore they are playing better??? maybe im having a pre-senior moment and that didnt happen but i swear to god it came from the Bilas mouth itself...end of first half i believe.

I didn't hear the "yelling" part (but maybe I'm having a senior moment) but I did hear something around having more freedom of movement on offense under CTL. Mathurin also said during that Bilas walk that the "new difference" was around trust.
